  • Very easy Hedgehog House build. Check out link below for free plans. I used the opportunity to test out a cheap dowel jig that I've had for ages and not got around to using.
Don't know what a Hedgehog is? Check out the other link for a short video.

This turning into such a quirky channel. Love it! Hope your new medication regine has a positive result for you 🤞

Quirky is a good description. I never quite know what is going to go into the next 'episode'. There will be a short series of piano restoration videos next year - absolutely nothing to do with sailing. But I want to put those out all at once, starting with a before and after video.
Still very early days with the meds, but I am reasonably optimistic at the moment
      Cheers, Paul

As a huge Terry Pratchett fan I know that the Hedgehog can never be buggared at all. We named our dinghy "Hedgehog" and I've got some little stickers of cute hedgehogs that I've been meaning to put on the hull for a while now. They have been on the boat for nearly a year now I'm lazy. First I need to clean the dinghy, then I need to find the stickers...
That is a nice low-cost dowling jig and probably much more precise than those little pins I have or the reversed tape method you talked about a while back. I'll have to check out Harbor Freight Tools (mostly chinesium stuff) here in the USA to see if they have something similar for cheap.

Good to know that the hedgehog is popular all over the world. There is something really charming about them. The big surprise is that they are really loud. They don't try and disguise the fact that they are rummaging around in your back garden at all. I guess they feel well protected with their coat of spines. Good name for a dinghy.
I would guess that Harbor Freight would have something similar. The Clarke brand in the UK is about the cheapest you can get and still be assured that the quality will be OK.
      Cheers, Paul

Love hedgehogs and saved a baby one which lived with my mother in law. Love the channel you’ve encouraged me to spend more on a yacht so I do less repairs. ❤️

Nothing lasts on a boat no matter how well built or high quality it was when new. I've replaced just about everything on mine before we left 6 years ago and many of those systems broke and needed adjustment, repair, or outright replacement already.
