      @lorenzomoseley5926 Před 4 lety +62

      Jungle and support get the blame for 85% of things going wrong. Even though it's not usually their fault, people assume one gank should equal a counter gank when that's not in that lane which is ofc usually mid. But most of the time mid should be able stay alive in 1vs2 as long as they play defensive, but a hunter can't as their wave clear is a bit slower so it's usually more beneficial to push a tower on duo. Most players just don't ward enough and that's why they die tbh.

But now I go jungle more often than support because its easier to carry a game from there. Where as in support you are reliant on your team to back you up and since the game went cross platform Comms just died for some reason, which makes it hell when initiating fights. Another thing people forget is the "sport" part of eSports. And throw strategy and team work out the window most of the time.

    My advice for newcomers, start with support to get a feel for the conquest scene. After support, give carry a shot bc its a lot of damage with the security of a support. Then go solo(typically a very chill lane) then try mid. Mid is more independent than the other lanes but you should be able to handle your own. Finally, try jungle. The jungle rotations can be overwhelming at first but when you set up a rotation, it will become one of the funnest roles. I main mid and jungle.

      I already see rarely a good support. Suggesting newcomers to play support will just increase the number of it :D its better to give this advice...First play other game modes and if you start to feel free and confident there. Watch few pro player plays in conquest and then jump into that game mode and choose the role you were the best in those other game modes...watching pro players will give knowledge and idea when to rotate and god skill(technical stuff) from other game modes can be transferred into conquest very easy....dont suggest to just jump on support to feel..if you are new, feeling can be achieved faster in a role you are more comfortable...

    Honestly I feel that support is the hardest role over jungle because theres some things that were not covered.
    1 is god familiarity. If you dont k ow the capabilities of all the players in play friend and foe you wont know what means can be the most effective to save teammates.
    2 is when in the game does the carry can clear effectively so you may need to have stronger clear earlier to balance it out to give them the edge.
    3 is itemization. You need to be familiar with every item in the game and what it does. Your item picks could save or cost lives.
    As you stated that you have to give up glory and spotlight to make support work and that is just hard for people in general. These are on top of all the of the points you listed. I'm sorry to trigger some people with these points but people are naturally not a support style so its counter intuitive.

    • @FriedChckn13

      I've mained support for the past 2 seasons and I got to Masters each time and...
      it's possible, but really not worth it at all. There were about 4 support mains in the top 100 at any time.
      I guess there's something to be said about the "difficulty" of playing support correctly, but honestly, you have less of an impact on the game if any of your teammates don't know how to work cooperatively, which is often at lower ranks.
      This recent season, I decided to learn Solo a bit better and Jungle from scratch. I'm already having a much larger positive (and sometimes negative) impact on the outcome of my matches even though I'm much worse comparatively at the roles.
      I feel with these three roles under my belt (because someone always wants to trade away Support), I'm much better equipped than if I focused and improved solely as a Support player.

    Solo main here ( started as adc ), solo is one of the most enjoyable roles in smite , build defense and cooldown and some hybrids , don't be scared of boxing I'm telling you, fights in solo go from 15 to 45 seconds those are pure fun , it feels like a real fight not just dying in 3 seconds cuz any other role will die after 5 seconds of getting dmg ( not supps obviously) due to adc high constant dmg , and jg and mages high burst , also you'll be usually 2 or 3 levels above any other role in the game that means dmg so don't be afraid to fight the mage or jg that's why u are the "aggresive tank" but be careful in late with adc they will shred you if u let them , but sure u can fight them too ( just basic knowledge I didn't know when started in solo) ( also it can get kind of complicated in normals cuz the level experience is different just be as annoying as u can and chase the goddamn mage along with the assassin or support lol)

    On inters3ct, you are my favourite youtuber by far, but i don't agree with jungle being the hardest role. I'm new to smite and I jumped into solo Lane and hated it, so I moved to jungle and loved it. Otherwise amazing vid

      @zyre_4834 Před 4 lety

      Matthew what he’s trying to say. It’s not about whether you love it or not. It’s about the mechanics that runs along the role itself. The jungler basically is the one making plays (via ganks) in the early game and if the jungler doesnt know that then the entire team is doomed. Also jungler also have to be mindful of the countdown timers for the blue buff for the solo and the red buff for the mid (contest the red buff of enemy team is possible)

    I wouldn’t agree with adc being on such skill level. And people saying adc is just left click is a pretty typical thing people who play in platinum ranked say. Playing adc depends on so much more, being a good adc with a shit support instantly makes it harder than any other role, cause it eventually makes it a 2v1 most of the time. I’d agree with the rest but i’d put adc on 7/10 just like mid as well.

    • @silverfang4583
      @silverfang4583 Před 4 lety

      No just no
      You can say adc with a shit support makes it harder (which is true)
      But at the same time
      What if you have a shitty jungler
      Well suddenly mid is harder than any other Role
      (don't ever base the diffuculty of a role by other players ability

  • @anthonymuscat488
    @anthonymuscat488 Před 3 lety

    I don’t understand why there is even a role select if you don’t get the roles selected half the time. If I queue into a game with mid and solo selected I shouldn’t be forced to play support. Then if I don’t pick I get banned for 2 hours. Don’t implement a Fourier if it’s not gonna work properly. And I’d rather wait ten minutes to find a game so I can play an hour of what I want rather than wait thirty seconds to be forced to play something I hate for an hour

      Hoàng Anh Nguyễn Huy you might be doing something wrong lmao. Supports hardly get any farm and the entire team expects you to stay alive even with the tiniest bit of items you have. Solo you basically have a free lane by your self if you are good then that’s easy exp and money for you. Support is the epitome of an undying love to want a team to win.
