The thing is this is not just the university ,
Where the stadium is walking distance is school of medicine, their hostels and everything is there , yiu walk a distance that the school of agric then the lectures bangalow , from 2012 till today the school has been expanded . The new campuses were completed around prof Naa Jane time when she was the VC
Cape Coast university is the best in Ghana and West Africa and 7th in Africa according to the Africa Universities rankings. We love Cape Vars.

Have you been to Ashesi University before? It's a private university...I haven't been there before as a Ghanaian but pictures of Ashesi will blow your mind. trust me. try and visit and you will be blown, especially at night

international hostels come with a different price, preferences, added amenities I guess and helps them adopt properly into the Ghanaian way of life
Most of the International Halls were built by Private Companies so they look different to attract more.
Go check the senior high school expecially in the Eastern Region. Koforidua sectec.
Did you reach sasakawa areas ? UCC is very big and they are still expanding the university, you should check school of business and education also boy it been expanded . UCC is just awesome
Well Lily, as you have rightly observed The Government emphasis greatly on creating a peaceful learning environment so that students could have peace of mind to read. Apart from that the government ensures every Ghanaian student chooses public education as over that of Private education. It's therefore difficult for a Private institution to top that of government same applies to the hospitals. Lily, in your next contents on education go the SHS ( Senior High School). Schools like Wesley Girls, Achimota, Aburi girls, St. Roses and many more then you'll realize that it was deliberate attempt to make public institutions well funded and run and this makes it hard for the Private sector to surpass.
The international hostels appear to look nicer than Ghanaian traditional halls because they are newly built and therefore follow more current architectural designs.
In the past the population of international students was not that high and they were shared amongst the traditional halls and did not hv separate accommodation.
Whn their number kept growing, university administrators decided to build more purposeful acccommodation for them.
Since they come frm different countries its only prudent to hv those hostels stylish looking and internationally standardized as they attract more revenue to the university than the Ghanaian ones.. They are citizens so their rates are subsidized by the state. This is just the reasons..

Cape Coast University was built by Kwame Nkurumah to train teachers in high schools and university lecturers in science education. After he was overthrow in February 24th 1966,the new government changed the plan and added new courses.
Dear Lilie, Universities in Ghana are autonomous and thereby responsible for their infrastructure development and that is not to say government does not also have say in their development. Government also develops the schools as well.

Well it is the 7th best in Africa in 2024 and best in west Africa according to Times Education. Last year it was the 4th in Africa.

But in the last 8 years the government has not been funding the universities, secondary schools.... hospitals are deteriorating.
KNUST tops it all. UCC is no where close to KNUST in terms beauty.
