My brother inlaw had his child in this Hospital. The child came with some disease in her blood. Seven Drs. came together and did a process they called exchange transfusion. They basically changed the blood group of the child. This sounds so impossible but trust me it happened in this hospital and the baby is alive as we speak..... Trust me this hospital is another level......

Just for a little bit of education, a person’s blood group cannot be changed. However, when your blood contains abnormal components and it’s circulating the toxins, the doctors do what you mentioned, “exchange transfusion,” to flush out the toxic blood or abnormal blood components using non-toxic blood of the same blood group and type or some blood that is compatible with the recipient's blood from a donor. I’m glad to realize they have the equipment and are able to do these procedures in Ghana.

What Ghanians don’t understand is that we are not as bad as some of us think. I understand the polarized political environment but we are still going places. What I like most about us is the system of development which is spread across the country and which makes any rural Ghanaian town look modern. I just don’t like it when only the capital city of a country is over developed to the detriment of other cities. I know we could do better but we should take a deep breath and de-escalate our utterances. We should all protect the country like the golden egg not crush it as some of us want us to believe that we all the worst in the world.

Dr Addo Kufour initiated the Afari military hospital. President Kufour started the Sawia hospital. Bekwai hospital was started under Col Acheamong. Most of those hospitals you tagged abandoned have all been completed. The lesson here is that any government that comes to power must not walk away from uncompleted projects. The money comes from the same pot!

And there are so many projects, name them hospitals, schools and factories in tentionally abandoned to rot. I think you give ghana undeserved credit.
