  • We are on the Media-Elwyn Line again today, at Lansdowne Station. A historical station that is preserved in its Pennsylvania Railroad condition. The station features an ornate station house complete with Red PRR Keystone signs, low platforms (with steps), and a decently large parking lot. It's very typical as far as Regional Rail is concerned. The station is near the Wycombe Avenue crossing which is somewhat untypical for a former PRR Line. Most PRR Commuter Lines were grade-separated but the Media-Elwyn isn't because of the hilly terrains it encounters in and around Delaware County. One second you're at level with the street, next you're crossing over a giant creek ravine. We see lots of trains.
