Bill Press: The Case Against Trump

  • "I'd give us an A." ―President Donald Trump, on his first 100 days in office.
Bill Press, a popular radio host and former California Democratic chair, argues the opposite: that every day that Trump stays in office, he diminishes the United States and its people.
In his new book, Trump Must Go, Press offers 100 reasons why he believes Trump needs to be removed from office, whether by impeachment, the 25th Amendment or the ballot box. Ranging from banning federal employees’ use of the phrase “climate change” to making disparaging comments about African nations and countries such as Haiti and El Salvador, Press lists his reasons why he believes the president is unfit for office. Press says that Trump’s calendar is marked with extensive “executive time” so he can tweet, golf and watch TV.
But, in a political climate where the world has learned to expect the unexpected, Press will also offer a twist: one reason not to ditch Donald Trump.

He was able to take Latin in high school, while I wasn't and it was very difficult to catch up with him- and I never did! He has two advanced degrees (an M.D. and a J.D.) while I only have one (an MBA). I expect he has a better view of the world than I. David McCulloch (sp.) indicated that the Wright Brothers were very well educated despite not having the opportunity to go to college! I want my children and grandchildren to be well educated!

Yea, sure. Clinton routinely ditched secret service, brutally raped one woman and took 27 trips to Epstein Island.
Trump on the other hand i believe took one trip and threw Epstein out of Miralago when he felt he made an inappropriate move on a young woman.
This is nonsense and the the dem & berni bro followers know nothing but name calling as their thinking has been totally warped by linguistic manipulation.
One who is a "nationalist" loves their nation.
My Father volunteered to fight in WW2 at age 19. He was a (white) nationalist. He told me long before the movie came out about how his life and entire bomb crew were saved by US fighters when they were crippled over alps and trying to get home to italy when Nazi planes attacked. He said the fighter pilots were called The Tuskegee Airmen. For those who don't know the Tuskegee Airmen were heroic (black) nationalists. But the left has perverted even our language and pretend by adding the race "white" that means supremacist. This was never true but now a good word of pride has been turned into a shameful word by linguistic manipulation which those with limited language skills, no sense of history , and no ability to actually think and analyze follow blindly. Now even THAT is not working so Biden is actively calling for CENSORSHIP of HEALTH INFORMATION among other things.
Can't watch much longer. This guy admires Piglosi who lives in luxury while people (including people of color seeing as the LEFT always choose to define people by such attributes) in her CA district are homeless and pooping in the street !
This is the Great Divide. The previous book writer liked Rachel Madcow who still thinks Mueller found trump colluded with Russia. The left is IMMUNE to facts !
I lost my health care completely because of Obamacare. First time in decades when i couldnt keep my plan. Obamacare cost more than 10x what my GOOD plan cost. HR actually told us that we were supposed to help "float the boat" for those who couldn't pay. And i worked for a hospital. But no one cares about folks like me or small businesses and there were a lot of them. Only morons think raising min wage will not simply bankruot small biz.
I DO NOT want Government in control of my healthcare! Give people $ if you want but don't put bureaucrats and pharma in charge of MY healthcare !!

    • @susanblood7397

Allen. I graduated suma cum laude with a science degree . I assure you i have a good attention span and much patience but people who ignore serious FACTS and always just resort to name calling (which this "author " decries while doing it AND calling an accomplished woman "ugly " ) do not deserve much of anyones time. I spend time listening to leftist news channels every day in an attempt to be fair. Frankly I think they are all full of balony and pure propogandists for simple minded followers. I really do think people are tired of it and this is absolutely reflected in MSM ratings AND the insane amount of censorship YOUR SIDE is having to resort to in order to maintain mind control.
I am opposed to EVERY SINGLE POLICY THIS armchair expert is promoting. It is NOT that people are blindly following Trump but that Trump is truly speaking for a multitude of people- many smarter than me .
We are sick of pompous academics who never did a hard days work in their life . We are tired of the feigned compassion that seeks to divide people. We are tired of talking heads telling medical professionals about "science" and coal miners about coal and green bs.boondoggles. We are tired of Big Tech censoring our President and everyone else they don't like. But what would you expect from truly weak people who are making our children weak, stupid and lazy?
I assure you I did not pay someone else to take my SAT test, but this sort of mental weakness and laziness is par for the course among your more well to do followers.
Now that you have your best and brightest in office - bidden and kamala smollet Merk in power watch how quickly this nation is destroyed. First you tried to groom Avanati, but prison got in the way, then you tried to groom Cuomo but he killed too many seniors - which you tried to coverup by decades long evidence that he's a what was that word- mysoginist. Now you bring in kerry and all the corrupt cabinet which truly hate our country.
      You may miss it someday.

A democracy is governed by agency, an autocracy by diktat. An autocrat is indifferent to your hopes and expectations, he only recognises fear. The ‘agency’ of a democrat is the totality of all abstract thought! An autocrat thinks only in the concrete, not in the abstract. For a democrat freedom is delivered by the liberation of the mind, an autocrat delivers order at the point of a gun! The principle agency of democracy is emancipation; nothing is possible without this. Democracy requires that the citizen is his own agent, that he acts in his own self interest, pursues his own goals and interests. All abstract thought! Concrete thinking is the trait of the sociopath; Trump’s thinking is concrete, and the only abstract he recognises is hatred. No man is complete without abstract thought; the nearest Trump can come to completeness, to being alive, is by imposing suffering upon others. Because he doesn’t understand abstract agency he ended up ‘a Napoleon in name only’, unable to grasp the nature of the power of the presidency.
If every man is his own agent then government through agency is empowerment.
The autocrat in a democracy delivers an order; ‘it (lawlessness) stops here and it stops now,’ (Trump’s inauguration speech) but has no concept of through what abstract agency this will come about; he just assumes that the power of the office will magically bring this about. A democrat in a democracy appeals through the agency of consensus, that lawlessness is contrary to self interest.
      To be continued

We have another stress test coming up in 2022 mid-terms. It is being organized to finalize the taking down of the democracy and the return of the Supreme Leader. If you expect your children to have good manners become law abiding citizens we the parents, the leaders , the role models for our children must provide for their children all the things that are required to produce a responsible , moral , and self respecting adult!!! This concept is also required of anyone who holds a position in leadership, supervisory, manager positions!!! Especially that of the President!!! People will usually be more affected by what they see, not what they here!!! If the leader of this country is corrupt most assuredly those under him will follow his lead!!! Because there is no respect for the law the rights of the people and the Constitution!!! This man should have never been allowed to even run for president!!! Why would this country the people want to allow a racist man as our leader??? You have to know exactly where will lead!!! The man was clearly lying as he campaigned, yet he was allowed to continue to run for president!!! Our Morals and Values of this country was compromised!!! Our rules were broken ,made to no longer have any value or meaning!!! Why would anyone accept any less than the best!? Trash in our Whitehouse will only bring more garbage, corruption, deception, lies, deceit, violation of the law and an attack on the Constitution!!! Dick Cheney's speeches leading up to US invasion of Iraq made people think there was a clear connection between the terrorists attacks on 9/11 and the need to invade Iraq. THE
    PEOPLE’S CHOICE
    There
are no laws that say we, as a people, have to like freedom in every
form that said freedom chooses to express itself.
    However,
there is a Constitution that gives a list of lawfully accepted
freedoms that we have agreed to abide by and it says that we WILL
extend those freedoms in their every form, to every American citizen,
whether we agree with it or not.
    It
is not a crime to be born a man or a woman. It is not a crime to be
born white, black, brown, mixed, or any other color of the rainbow.
It is not a crime to be born straight or gay, bi-sexual or
transgender. It is not a crime to have a different religious belief
than your neighbor. It is not a crime to be born rich or poor. WE ARE
WHO WE ARE, and we are all, the American people.
    If
any of you are either unable or unwilling to accept freedom in its
every constitutional form, and extend that freedom to every American
citizen, then you are un-American and unworthy to live in a free
    nation
    If
you are unable or unwilling to learn how to love and to teach
unconditional acceptance to yourself and your children, then you are
un-American and unworthy to live in a free nation.
    Like
it or not, we are all American citizens, and like it or not each and
every one of us are THE PEOPLE.
    WE
THE PEOPLE… WE THE PEOPLE… WE THE PEOPLE…have a Constitution.
The Constitution is extremely clear and precise when it states that
“We the People” are the ruling class of America. “We the
People” are the ruling class of America.
    The
persons we have selected and placed in positions to FOLLOW our orders
are called Public Servants…Public Servants…Public Servants.
Servants DO NOT RULE. Servants OBEY and SERVE. We the People are the
    ruling class of America.
    We
the People have a CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY to safeguard our freedom from
any tyranny whether it be from foreign oppressors or domestic ones,
    INCLUDING OUR OWN SELECTED SERVANTS.
    WE
THE PEOPLE HOLD THE POWER IN OUR HANDS AND WE ARE AT A PRECIPICE ONCE
AGAIN. We the People must make a decision right here and right now,
TODAY, not tomorrow. It must be done TODAY. The choice we make today
not only determines the present fate of each and every American
citizen, it also determines the future fate of all of our children
    and our children’s children.
    ARE
WE THE PEOPLE THE RULING CLASS OF A FREE NATION?
    OR
    ARE
WE THE PEOPLE THE SERVANT CLASS OF CORPORATE TYRANTS AND ROBBER
    BARONS?
    THE
POWER IS WITH THE PEOPLE, SO WHO ARE WE THE PEOPLE GOING TO CHOOSE TO
    BE?
    FREEDOM
IS NOT AN ENTITLEMENT. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. FREEDOM IS FOUGHT FOR AND
    EARNED.

The myth of a strong president is something Democrats believe in, which explains why the DNC never provides support to down-ticket or State candidates or bothers to win states that are about to go thru redistricting - all the money goes to the presidential candidate. The reason Trump got away with everything he did, and why he got off scott-free on the Mueller investigation, was because the Republican politicians stand behind their president no matter what. I think we do need to get rid of corporate shills like Ajit Pai who is the FCC chair. As much as dislike far right channels I am against regulating internet and just letting people decide for themselves, investigate and hear all sides.

Fox News needs to go. We are seeing what their propaganda is doing to our country. If their audience didn’t rely on them for actual news then maybe they could stay, but they don’t realize they have been lied to with hate and fear weaponizing rights. tRump is the symptom of the disease. Definitely agree we need to get corporate interests out of positions of power.

Puerto Rico was never mentioned, however Statehood for Puerto Rico should be at the near top of the list for the people to consider. There was opposition for Hawaii, remember? However, its alright for Repugnicons to have two Dakotas. New Mexico was a huge Territory, heaven forbid a largely Hispanic population be a State, so Arizona was created. It was the people of New Mexico Territory that kept the Spanish idiom and schooling for its children, into it's State Constitution. Something the people of Puerto Rico must champion, but consider its role as a strength , in a nation with changing demographics. Statehood would solve many of its Corporate troubles. Corporations are not people, my friends.

A bit of the History behind the Peace Symbol: it comes from the Nuclear Disarmament movement - that started with people like Bertrand Russel - and is "super-imposition of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D", taken to stand for "nuclear disarmament" [...]". (Wikipedia)
And ... according to Wikipedia, it is also a reference to "[Paco or Francisco] Goya's "The Third of May" 1808 (1814) (aka "Peasant Before the Firing Squad"). (about the Spanish resistance to the Napoleonic invasion)
