I could watch the movies from this era everyday for a year and always have a smile on my face.
They don't make'em like this any more, unfortunately.
👍👍
I miss that time without ever been there 😢
Great stories, elegance and manners❤️
Nor did God create enough Real men...
@@angelacalderone9608 It's not G-D's fault.
Life can be beautiful but it takes beautiful people.
To coin a phrase, “they don’t make em like that anymore “. Lovely❤️
☺️
Anne Nagel, you can sell me a mattress any day. Harry Davenport grandpop started in movies at the age of 70, he was born in 1866. Stage actor all his life.
How can anybody give a movie like this a thumbs down. I loved it!
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX
Maybe because these people think it's hard times to have to shine their own shoes, wash and iron their clothes, and buy things on sale. Yet he won't let her work, keeps buying on credit anything and everything, tries to be a big wheeler-dealer businessman rather than being an employee long enough to clear the bills. Loses everything except her. Both if them dishonest with each other about money. That's hard to watch, but I wanted to see them get sensible and straighten out themselves finally! That's a happy ending. 😄👏
Not everyone has good taste ...
They didn't watch it to the end!
@@PizzaFLIX I think no one should be allowed to give a thumb's down without an explanation.
I love Anne Nagel, too bad they didn't make her a real star, she had all the qualities.
I love Anne Nagel~ she had a character-filled prettiness that many in hollywood lacked. I could look at those eyes all night long!
I think the same about Irene Dunne.
i have been watching the movies from the 30s and 40s and some 50s for over four years and have a difficult time relating to anything else. British movies from the same era are great too.
Thank you all, Eliz
☺️
Brilliant..
Me too! It's almost all I watch for about 4 years now.
Yep, they knew how to make films back then. Pure GOLD.
Loved the movie and she's great !! Makes one very nostalgic for the old simpler times. I read up about her and noted she led a tragic life that ended far too early !! Life isn't like the movies ...
Amen!!
More sadness 😢
I think I've fallen for Anne Nagel.
Just lovely. I welled up when Gramps said "you married a real man". Made me remember that I've also married a real man but at times have talen him for granted.
I married a real man♥️
Love at first sight, together for 40 years until his death, RIP🕊️♥️ They'll never be another like him🌼
@@libertytreebud5406 Awww, I bet you've got a treasure trove of great memories😊
My late Daddy was a real man. You see, any fool can be a 'gentleman', it takes a real man to live and die a gentle man.
RIP Daddy. Even after 40 years, I miss you every day.
I too married a real man. A stroke at 42, he has rebuilt our lives, carefully, gently. Daddy you would have approved of Stephen.
_you old folks sure are swell. how do you do_
This was a really sweet movie. It was so enjoyable. I am glad I watched it! You will too....
A wonderful, uplifting, fab old film. Great cast and a good storyline of determination and loyalty. Lots of smiles. Thank you for sharing.
Pizza 🍕 thanks for this upload, WOW 👏, they really don't make em like that anymore, the cast was EXCELLENT, this is true wholesome entertainment, not the BULL PATTY the entertainment industry is trying to pass off as entertainment now a days.
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you🍕🍕🍕
I love a movies I find myself smiling at as it ends!
I know exactly what you mean 😊
☺️
One can learn lessons on over-extending the budget, buying on credit and being a real man😁 well worth the watch 🌼
I love these old black and white movies!!! Thanks so much for the uploads!
Funny how it being in b&w didn't take a thing away from it.
Really great film with an actual storyline that is quite relatable. 👏 Thank you for sharing.
I guess we can all learn something positive from this. Some good lessons in it. Good movie.
Yes....buying with plastic....enslaved for life.
☺️
I saw Grandpa in another movie and it was so good but I can't recall it ...I just remembered the voice and I want to view it again....
He was in lots of movies including Gone With the Wind.
Yes, i really like grandpa in some of these old movies. Love his voice. Wish i had a grandpa like him growing up.
Meet me in St.Louise.
Harry Davenport was in many well known films.
Didn't see that happy ending coming PF. Good pick'n. Anne a lady of true beauty and great screen presence.
I love Anne Nagel
@@talenttrading Yes I checked a little clip again, forgot which one this was, been enjoying the old movies.
Not just beautiful but lovely voice and manor as well, genuine charisma.
Yeah the gambling had me thinking bad outcomes. Such a nice turn of events.

Yes Mike, stories of redemption give me a big lift for sure, love to see people's lives turn out well. Committed my life to Christ in 1973, and an old friend who is not religious at all said to me recently, "It probably saved your life Don. You were headed in a bad direction."
I remain thankful after all this time.
Hope your Christmas and New Year are good.
Heart warming story of good principles and loyalty.
☺️
😇 Hey the grampa plays the doctor in Gone With The Wind!!!
This movie was too sweet!
What a charming movie, I love these oldees feel good movies. I enjoy them the best!
😍😊👌👌👍👍
I love all the comments! I don't know what I watched before all my noir. I can just get lost in the 1930's and 40's movies.
I really like the morals and ethics too.

This was a swell movie. Really enjoyed it.
☺️
A charming movie. I admired the Monogram Pictures logo at the beginning, which was fashioned in the art deco style.
yes... very Art Deco, glad you appreciated it.
Best part of the movie😂
@@kathykapsner3897 I do agree that it is the best part of the movie.🎬
AN. Was a tremendous talent a beautiful actress and singer
A courageous young lady that overcame insurmountable odds!
☺️
Wonderful flick! A storyline I can relate to in 2023.
Loved it! Simple, clean, lessons learned and moving forward in life with those you love.
I’ve got the biggest smile on my face and I can’t wipe it off 😁✨ This is a by gone era that showed a real sense of self worth & individual pride. The story telling touched my soul. Starting out in life is quite a battle to find out who you are & how your simply going to pay the bills much less find someone you can make a home with and find the happiness that can bring. The movies of today seldom offer a roadmap to any feelings of hope & success. Now it’s sex, violence, con jobs, gangs, drugs, politics, corruption, etc etc. Our country is experiencing incredible turmoil and social unrest to the point it feels like its self destructive. Technology is moving faster than people can keep up with & the threat of total annihilation looms all around. Poverty, racism, hunger, lack of jobs, education, surveillance via the phone, government control over every aspect of life is unbelievable & unnerving. Where is life headed🤔⁉️ Things seem a lot simpler long ago - what’s to become of us🙄❓ Everyone & everything seem dysfunctional - people are like zombies searching their phones for answers like drug addicted chickens with their heads cut off. This movie reflected dignity compassion & hope unlike the times of today.
Dear Brother Richard, The answer is that God is working out a purpose here below. He will only allow the world to go so far and then will, as promised, intervene. Man will finally come to learn that apart from our Maker, man cannot live in peace and harmony. In fact, apart from our Maker, man will absolutely destroy all life on this planet, and all life in the world. Praise be to God that the Messiah will return before long, and save the world from itself. And that, my dear brother, is the TRUTH!
@@mackethridge7798 Mack, you are SO right! People have to learn that they need God, that they need to follow his ways. For many decades we have been on a slow slide, getting farther and farther away from the Lord and his laws. Now, I read recently in an email from my prayer group, Intercessors for America, that the Satanic Temple (Satan-worshipers) in Texas are "suing for the right to engage in the abortion ritual because it is part of their 'worship'. (Texas is out-lawing all abortions.) Who could have believed our supposedly innocent, harmless, sliding away from God could come to this? But God is in control and I am praying for a great spiritual awakening that I believe IS COMING is coming to America.
There is not much "self worth and individual pride" left in our country these days. It feels like we are broken people.

12:14 In today's world she'd call law enforcement and have him arrested for stalking her.
Really good movie, from top to bottom; story line, cast, & acting. Thanks Pizza boy.
☺️
OMG it's just too sweet to be true, I love this movie - the cow at 19:00 had me in stitches. What an amazing husband and wife, and even the grandpapa in fact
Only in the movies
☺️
I can only agree with every single comment about these superb, delightful films from a time when they knew how to write a screenplay, how to act, how to speak, and never have I been disappointed in any of them. Modern films are dead. Thank you for making my evening.
I was born in 1938. So the fashions are really interesting to me
I wonder why we stopped dressing in this way? Its quite flattering and decent.
Wow it’s like I’m watching civilization from a different planet then the one I’m living on in 2021. What happened?
Really great movie, a pure pleasure. Thanks for posting this PF.
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you.

Great movie- after 2020 this is “ sweet”.
I for one am not a fan of inheritance, but if it's staring me in the face, I won't loose on such an opportunity
That is the kind of videos I like to watch.
Thank you for a happy ending!
Putting the piano where "it can be seen when the door's open" - Loved that line. Very sweet film. Thank you!
Enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
Great story Thank you
Terrible the way they referred to the baby as IT.
I love the old movies, but I'm awfully glad I didn't have to totter around the house, doing the cleaning and washing etc, in heels and a pretty little frock, and fully made up every day... My jammies are quite good enough for me... 🤣
I think they were very used to it and they kept their weight down so the heels didn't hurt as much. I'll bet their husbands loved it too!

Hey PizzaFlix...another gem. I've watched this one several times. Now I notice a high pitch throughout the entire picture. Has it always been there and just not didn't notice it before? 🤔
Bravo🤗pizzaflix for the likes of TCM....Bravo youtube for all it's positive uploads to enjoy, could do w/o commercial or ad breaks....but,I also can't afford to purchase viewing w/o,keep the black n white classics coming(no matter the quality of audio,ALL the Real Actors of that time makeup the difference 😍)

What went wrong? Why did we fall away from this way of life?
Modernism, Feminism etc.
Revelation 12:9-12 satan is misleading the ENTIRE inhabited EARTH. Woe for the earth and sea because the devil has come down to you having GREAT ANGER knowing he has a short period of time .
This is why the world system has got so bad.
The violence and evil will continue untill Go removes the wicked . Both Human and invisible wicked spirits. persons . Earth will be restored and billions resurrected under Gods heavenly Kingdom.
Matthew 24 :14 Revelation 21:4 death suffering old age sickness will BE NO MORE. Hosea 13:14 From the hand of Sheol I shall redeem them from DEATH oI shall recover them. Where are your stings O death
Sheol is the Hebrew word for hell . Hades is the greek word for hell . Hell is the common grave of mankind , NOT a burning fire.
Matthew 22: 32 Jesus said He is the God NOT of the dead but of the living. On hearing that the crowds were astonished at his teaching.
The dead are in Gods memory and will be resurrected to earth sometime after Armageddon. A small number in comparison go to heaven to rule with Christ for a 1000 years over the earth. Revelation 20:6
Acts 24:15 There's going to be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous.
