    Interesting,
    1. Current market price of ethanol is rupees 60 per liter (give or take because transport cost will vary).
    2. Taking 100% petrol at today market price of Rs.100. If 10% ethanol is added, then 90% of petrol costs 90 rupees and 10% of ethanol will cost 6 rupees. So cost of E10 petrol should be 96 rupees.
But I'm sure prices will not be reduced.
    3. Calories per liter in ethanol is much lower than petrol has stated in this video.
So this is double whammy, you're paying more and getting lesser efficient fuel.

Won't few parts corrode if E20 is used on E10 material compliant vehicle as current vehicles in market are neither E20 material compliant nor E20 engine compliant?

Using food source for fuel is a bad idea. Plants are horrible at using energy from sun. They are around 0.1% to 1 % efficient Meanwhile solar panels are upto 40% efficient. Meaning if we use carbon capture to make synthetic fuel using solar energy it's much more efficient and scalable. And a bonus is that it's not gonna use as much arable land. Infact you can build a carbon capture plant in a desert and it will perform almost the same (although localised pollution does affect it). That's a much sustainable way to go.

Ethanol is great but ethanol made from plant might end up with the risk of extreme use of fresh water.
So it's like indirectly using fresh water into ethanol as we already use huge amounts of fresh water for producing food.
😇 But still a good option though

    Consider the following statements.
The government of India has advanced the target for 20 per cent ethanol blending in petrol (E20) to 2025 from 2030.
Use of ethanol-blended petrol decreases emissions such as carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
The advantage of ethanol blended petrol is that it is not corrosive in nature.
Which of the above statements is/are correct?
    a) 1, 2
    b) 1, 3
    c) 2, 3
    d) 1, 2, 3

I think ev's in the coming years will make the ethanol issue inconsequential. I think manufacturers should set their sights on ev's instead of sticking stubbornly to a gasoline platform. One good ev product would make most vehicle buyers shift and leave traditional ICE manufacturing companies staring at redundancy.
