@@jorje758 just prepare yourself for it. I have got hit many time on my face while playing as a goalkeeper. The thing that hurts the most is that if you make a mistake as a goalkeeper, it's like even your teammates become your enemy.
@@jorje758 mate i got hit in the tooth once i got hit in the nuts a lot in the face a lot but hey im still here. My handling's not very good but my 1v1s are great cause i dont care. You need to not care. That's how it is

How important are goalkeepers? You can play without a striker, without a midfielder, a winger, a defender. But you can't play without a goalkeeper. That's how important they are. The most unfair, relentless and lonely position in football. And yet, the most important.
One bad game can turn the whole team against you. In high school I had a bad first game at P.E. and the people who just met me were calling me shit. In the second game I put my hardest and played great, and suddenly everyone calls me good. It's a hard life
I partially agree but if football only had one player in each position then they would all be important. As a defender myself we don't get a lot of credit but we stop shots from going to the keeper. Without a defence than the keeper would be nearly useless cuz it would be 1 on 1's. Without a midfield you gave no line to the attacker's and Without attacker's you would score much less so each position is equally as important.

As a centre mid I agree. Nothing more frustrating than a keeper who always wants to attempt some worldie distribution when it's not on or the opposition only having to get it on target and off the ground from 40 yards out
I'm a gk myself and it is painful. You have 1 bad game and everyone hates you. The defenders have a bad game but still get told they are doing better?
All of my friends just always say that goalkeeping is just standing around but as a keeper it just frustrates me

I remember when I was a GK maybe 16 yo and I remember defending a very dificult shot on the top right corner. We lost the game but everyone praised that defense. And I didn't understand why. And people were basically telling me that for a moment it looked like I flew into the air

He basically said the main rule for GKs: "You just have to take it".
As a former GK myself i've taken balls basically anywhere. Funny enough I never was hit in the balls because the way you position your body it rarely happens. But I've broken my fingers and my nose at least twice because of 1v1s

yep I had a broken collar bone due to a difficult save but it was a save and we won,as goalkeepers we ignore the pain and focus on the goal

For any keepers out there, I wanted to ask a question: In matches, how do you deal with nerves? As in most of the big games I’ll make mistakes purely because of nerves and not wanting to let the team down. Not sure if I can do anything about it, it sucks!

Just keep r in mind the the player will never shoot as long as his plant foot is not on the ground. Always keep an eye on the plant foot because this is what will give you your fraction second advantage. Also check your other main components of gk - positioning , game reading, angle study , distribution and shouting instructions. As a gk myself I hope that I had known this much earlier!

Just keep in mind never be afraid of the player if he's coming for a 1v1 don't back out try to take it out or game over i also have lost many mat ches due to my mistakes but I am practicing and you should do the same

I had a lot of respect for the goalkeepers, and I didn't criticize their mistakes much unless they were very big, and so after watching this great video it becomes even clearer to me,how difficult it is and I have even more respect for it.
When you throw a corner from the right, you should pop up by raising your left leg rather than your right to naturally turn towards the ball. It can be useful. Trust me.secondly, in the competition reactions, the goalkeeper went blind, which sometimes contributes to the loss of a goal, because the player may, for example, shoot in the middle, but this happens rarely. And I don't want to say that someone's weak because that's not the only thing I want to say about it as a professional goalie. Btw i really like your materials so keep working.

My idea for this would have been to analyze the performance difference and mistakes/wins in the technique department to further outline the advantage an experienced goalkeeper has over a beginner in greater detail. Would have been really interesting.

I love when goalkeepers shoot a goal, very rare sight to have any goals in your career. That is why I always hope that in every game at last minute stoppage time goalkeepers come out for a corner or freekick.

Saving isnt the only part in a keeper's game. If you dont have good distribution, decision making and positioning then you'll be shit. I realised early on that my distribution is shit so I tried to improve on that.

When you think if oblak, neuer, Ederson, think of what it takes for ideal gk to get to their level. Those ucl gks can make the saves ideal gk while under pressure with 50,000 people in the stadium

Kepa is the best saver he coudlve save the titanic from sinking also kepa is keeping on saving earth from meteors so he doesnt have time for chelsea.

@@CC___3 he has quite an acrobatic style which looks good on video but doesn't work as well in a real match. I am a goalkeeper and I used to make acrobatic saves that just looked good but I am much better in a normal game now where you most likely will only need to make a few of those saves and alot more practical saves
His handling is clinical to be fair to him tho

I play as a goalkeeper when my friend choose me and tells me be goalie I have my Tryhard mode on
Me watching that good goalkeeper makes me think that goalkeeping isn't hard
Tip: if you have the time for it try to get your body in front of the ball. Your hands can be pretty slippy so the Ball goes through. I myself am a goalkeeper and the key is to take even a shot in the face to save the shot. Example for the tip: Minute 7:33
