Would you like to go on a bar hopping tour? Or perhaps a guided tour through Kyoto? Let us know what tours you'd like to attend below!
A tour of Kyoto would be nice
I wish I could go bar hopping, but I take a medication that wouldn't work well with alcohol at all, hoping to get off of it.
Next video: shots of sauces with Sarah
Kyoto and/or japaneese sweets tours would be great! But I often travel solo and getting those tours reservation to work out is hard (ie so that there's enough people/ a place left).
Also a Sarah guided tour of the best sauces and vinegars would be interesting :D
Brewery Tour.
Respect for Tommy for being a good sport. Love you all so much.
Respect for Tommy's liver for being such a good sport haha, man barhops with tourists as a job 😂
Before watching this video, I don't think I would have considered a guided tour at all.
But after watching this clip, I would definitely give it a go with this company. And not just for a bar hopping tour (I will check out their link later).
This looks absolutely perfect: a small and private group, the safety of being guided by a local... Plus: Tommy is well informed, sharing interesting facts. He is also a fun person with a sense of humour, AND his English language skills are impressive!
It's interesting that he actually speaks English with Chinese accent not Japanese accent
Sarah's built different.
A special build indeed lol.. I do the same thing and love anything that has vinegar in it. I would tell her to try salt and vinegar fries lol. Amazing
I'd love to see Sarah on one of Sydney's videos
@@callumdonington2227 that would be interesting for sure!
Spirit animal 😅
I can relate to Sarah, sometimes I drink/sip the vinegar/sauce to get a real taste of it. 😂
Right? Sarah knows the way. 😄
Thank you for understanding hahaha
Same.
Sarah: Are you lying to me?!
Tommy: ...
Jordan: Question for you
Tommy's inner monologue: praise be to afro man
okay guys, please believe me that gyoza sauce is so good, even on its own. Also this addiction started from a lack of good salt and vinegar chips in Japan hahaha
What made you laugh at 8:45 when Emma innocently said: "I think I can get a few in in an hour…" ? 🤔
Also the sauce being good doesn’t justify that barbaric behaviour 😭😂
I'll have to try it next time, just for you.
I don't think it's any worse than scooping up the last bit of gravy on the plate even when the potatoes are gone. Or getting the last of the red sauce when noodles are eaten. Just cos it's a dipping sauce doesn't make it less edible. Better than wasting the gyoza sauce dumping it in the drain!
If it's allowed, I'd personally ship a load to your or TC's/Emma's po-box. Some countries are peckish about food as far i know
Also, i taste test all new brands of soy sauce i discover in the Asian supermarket with a teaspoon. (Test at home, not in the shop)
It was such a fun tour! I’m definitely going to book one for when friends and family come to visit ! 🎉
Jordan ur a joy to watch mate, much love from Canada!
Who wouldn't want to drink one with you lot? Love the energy
@@higoodbye7545 Thanks a ton! I have plans to visit Canada in the works!
Right off the bat I loved how outgoing Tommy was, I bet that’s the perfect job for an extrovert over there lol
My husband would love him from the moment he downed that beer 🍻 like skoden it’s that kind of party 🎉 if we ever get to visit, a fun guided bar crawl like this would be right up our ally, even though we’d prefer to spend more of our time exploring the country side and historical areas too
I love Sarah. I did magic trip there in Jan 2020. Our guide was awesome. Sho was our guide. He was great and I hope he’s doing well.
The shocked reaction of the partipants over the gyoza sauce was gold.
You just don't expect something as spontaneous as one of the hosts drinking up the gyoza dipping sauce in a hidden night spot video.
But know your limits. Drinking condiments can be habit forming.
I’m literally going to Japan in 9 days, and this comes right at the perfect moment! I’m totally going to do a magical tour hehehe
Awesome! Hope you'll have a blast here!
@@TokyoCreativePlay yeeeees! I speak N4 Japanese and I have some friends there too, so I’ll be good :D
A toast to the tiny beer expert who didn’t make this video 🍻
LOVED this episode. Chicken wing? There’s space in there! 😆
Sarah/guide drinking gyoza tare. 😆 And yes, vinegar provides a great contrast/kick and can act as a palette cleanser.
Revealing the guide’s “secret”…the trepidation was real. 😆
Will be traveling through Japan in two weeks (finally! So exited!) and just booked theOsaka Dotonbori Foodie and Hiroshima Bar Hopping Tour. It looks like a really cool and fun experience!
Get that extra stomach space for Osaka!
I'd drink sauce with Sarah! Hell, if she started her own Magical Trip sauce-hopping tour, I'd pay for it! 🤣
Got to admit...I have sipped gyoza sauce on occasion 🤫
Sarah's on the sauce again!
Tommy is adorable and so innocent.
I would love to drink sauce with Sarah. I would also do it on my own, but it'd make me feel so much better to be with such a kindred spirit.
We were on that tour in 2019 and it was a lot of fun. Very nice guides too
Sarah stan here. Nothing weird to see. Move along
Sarah's appetite is my absolute favourite thing about her. I bet she could eat the entire world
My first experience with ‘sake’ (nihonshu) was at a flat-rate tasting session hosted by a local brewery. Lots of fun. After a couple of hours drinking, chatting and learning about different varieties of sake, I realized it was time to leave and catch my last train home. Problem: could barely stand up. (Did I really drink that much??)
Let’s just say it was a loooong walk home. (That stuff is way strong than it tastes!)
Light and almost fruity in a rice kind of way until it hits your legs. Stuff can be devious yes!
Woo! Part 2 with Emma!
I've used this company. Worth it!
not sure what was funnier. sarah drinking gyoza sauce, or jordan freaking out at sarah for drinking gyoza sauce 🤣🤣
I also drink all salty vinegar sauces straight))))
Great video. I related to Sarah in this when she was sipping the sauce lmao! She's right it's like a weird salty palette clenser. Tommy was an absolute beast. Always jelly of you guys, looks so rad!
I would drink sauce with Sarah! 😂
I went on this trip. And it was fantastic! Thank you for featuring this on your channel!
I would drink the sauce too XD These tours would be great for me, as I would not know where to go at all otherwise. Having a local to show you around is so helpful, especially when you are only staying for a short time.
That little alleyway omoide yokocho is a must when in tokyo ! Great for eating and bar hopping
2:49 Emma's little dance was a pocket vibe
"If you would drink sauce with Sarah" ... YYUUUPP 🤣
You guys are the best 😊
There are definitely hidden gems all over tokyo
Usually so much fun finding them yourself. But it looks like a good idea to find some of those more quickly with the help of a guide. This video is awesome.
If I ever make it to Japan I will definitely be checking out the trips offered by magical trip! You all looked like you had so much fun and I loved the way the last bar was able to describe the different styles and places that different sake was made. I'm not sure I like the salt in vinegar taste as much as Sarah does, when she was describing the gyoza sauce but more power to her for being brave enough to drink it because I'm sure it was good to her. I know I would do the same if I really liked the flavor. Thank you all so much for sharing!
Just got mention: great camera work, too!
I am Sarah. Sometimes I take a shot of Worcestershire sauce out of the bottle lol. I love sour/vinegary things
I would absolutely drink sauce with Sarah 🤣 I've never related to something so much in my entire life!
This is definitely something I will recommend me and my friends to go to! I was worried about finding good bars in Tokyo. Since it will be everyone’s first time in Japan.
I really really liked this video. Maybe it was the editing or pacing, but it felt way more personal :)
I like Tommy, he fitted into the chaos nicely. I hope you get him back sometime.
not envious at all, you guys where totally hanging around my turf when i visit Tokyo @AfroInJapan
Sarah’s quick easy dinner - sauce and plain bread. A winner!
Oh hey i remember Tommy from one of Emma's past videos !
oh, I got to check it out! Thanks
really enjoyed the video....(Can you make the next video a bit longer?)
Got a good chuckle watching Sarah sip the sauce straight from the saucer...that's something I've done here and there (well...perhaps somewhat more frequently than that, heh) at restaurants in the past.
lol I can relate to Sarah , here in the Philippines we drink vinegar sauces mostly condiments for street foods and drinking foods
Translated restaurant guides with foreigner-friendly food is such a smart business idea!
Go Sarah! I do that too so I can relate. Those who like it too, try pouring some into an avocado and eating it together with that. It's magical! :)
Emma at 10:22 is my spirit animal
I drink straight apple cider vinegar! Yummmmm
Jordan is such a fun person. great videos as usual.
That's her german side...we love weered salty stuff...like Maggi....
Can’t wait to visit Japan and take this tour! Living vicariously through TC though
Um...I have a confession to make. I also drink gyoza sauce. So, Sarah, you are definitely not alone in thinking the sauce is really good by itself.
You know the question to this is simple yes I would drink sauce with Sarah shes just built different
Sarah is me and I am Sarah. Condiment drinkers UNITE ❤
I always try sauces before I pour oit a bunch. Whenever I go out to a restaurant, I pour a couple drops either on the back of my hand or into a tiny serving tray and lightly dip a pinky.
the magnificent trio returns! it is always a pleasure to watch these 3!
Fellow gyoza enthusiast here. I'd absolutely drink sauce with Sarah!
“Are you lying to me?”:
🫥
Currently in Shinjuku so I'll be taking notes
I am so with Sarah! I do that all the time
That was aweeesome!!! And yes i would drink sauce with Sarah, honestly she made it look so simple!
I love vinegary and salty tasting things. I can straight up drink shoyu and gyoza sauce
The guide reminds me of Takashi Fuji 😊
Here in Texas, I too am like Sarah in that I'll drink the remainder of the gyoza sauce!
yup I love my vinegar, definitely would drink it together with Sarah, in public lol
Why do I always expect a baby Chocobo to pop out of Jordan's hair?
Played too much ff13 hahahaha
Sarah is my hero!
I do straight up drink sushi vinegar from the bottle. Gyoza sauce is also delicious. I've also had ranch dressing, tartar sauce, and ketchup from the bottle. 😂 It's no weirder to me than eating pb or jelly from the jar. If I'm broke and can't afford any candy, I will eat sugar from the sugar bowl too.
Emma and Sarah are built different
Oh no it seems like Tommy is fully booked >w< ;...;
That looks like a fun experience
Tommy showing how it's done. :D
Emma reactions at end very Epic/
Sara I would totally drink sauce with you. I do that at home, and I don't in public, but I always think WHAT A WASTE of delicious sauce when I leave the Izakaya.
13:45 Risottoros good twin
My girlfriend does drink vinegar by itself. To the point that I buy her vinegars that have interesting flavors basically for her to drink.
Sarah: it's like my secret
Everyone else: you just did it publicly!
🤣😂
The auto english subs during the sake bar got me laughing 🤣
hahaha sarah drinking soy sauce like if it was soda🤣🤣🤣
I hope Magical Trip is able to expand out to Hokkaidou if they're not already out there since that's my favorite place . Sapporo is great of course as it has the Beer Museum but Otaru , Asahikawa and Abashiri are really cool places as well ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
They also have a Sapporo Bar Hopping tour
I'm gonna drink so much sauce
I love Sarah 😅
I would drink anything Sarah gave me
Wasn't Sarah the one that wanted a plain roll the last time?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❣️❣️❣️❣️
that sake sounded great - can you post the brands so we can see if we can get it overseas?
I bet you all can do a tour in Tokyo for me when I visit again. And I will bring salt and vinegar chips for Sarah
if i would love to drink with Sarah? yes
I should book that tour next time in Japan. When i was there alone, then it was very overwhelming to go to places when you don't know japanese.
I stayed in a hotel near the godzila in that road you were on in Shinjuku APH Hotel when you went to Japan in 2020, I wouldn't do what Sarah did 😨.
5:12 I can’t tell if this was a joke or if he’s really so into his drink that he’ll ignore other people
どもありがとごさいました。
That chord they accidentally made at the end 😂
I don't drink but it looks fun just going in those places that are hidden just for the experience. Also, I drink sauces too as long as they're delicious and not too salty (and I've been looked at weird before for it, too lol).
You can't go down Central Road from Shinjuku station towards the Shinjuku Toho Building and not film or take a photo of the Godzilla head.
11:30 how can you do that to me, I'm not supposed to laugh rn
