    NOTE: Set the Rotor mark to the Full Advance mark on the Stator..... ie the far left mark.. NOT the stator F mark as shown in the video.

      The printed instructions might as well not even come with the product! They are terrible

    So your setting the engine to TDC then lining the mark on the rotor up with the full advance mark on the stator and making sure that you can see a white dot from one of your magnets (where the points used to be) through the timing slot on the new igntion plate? Is this correct

      thanks Mick apologies for showing the wrong advance mark in my video. it should be the furthest advance mark before TDC not the closest.

      I have a PMA so the stock advance marks aren't there. I used a degree wheel to set at 35* according to what I've found on the "net. As Boyer says, time at FULL advance.

    Hi,
    I installed the same boyer box and the full advance mark is the line on the left at the end of the plate not the one that you are pointing in the video.
    Regards.

      you'll love it.... spot on ignition at all throttle positions. Don't forget to watch out for my error in the video. You need to set the Boyer up to max advance which is the mark furthest from TDC not closest as I said in my vid. Post a vid when you get it running.

      great choice you'll not regret it.
      Don't forget to watch out for the full advance mark on the stator . I made a mistake in my video . The correct full advance mark is detailed in the text below but ping me if you are not sure. Stick a video up when you get it running

    Jaques thank you for your comment.
    You are quite correct ! In the video I am pointing to a partial Advance mark at Idle .
    Thats the problem with trying to view things through a camera whilst recording narration if you are not paying attention.
    The full Advance mark is the very first line that the mark on the Rotor comes to when rotating the rotor (crankshaft) anti-clockwise ie the line to the far left on the Stator
    Thanks for correcting me..

    The motor was NOT set at full advance on the compression stroke ( note at end of video the inlet tappet began opening the valve when tightening the rod nut). This motor will not start/run,probably result in a massive backfire!

    • @johncooper7242
      @johncooper7242 Před 3 lety +1

      you idiot ! this motor started first time and has been running perfectly for 8 years. If you had bothered to read the comments and text and watch the other videos you would have known that
