    Hey Louis,
I work at a Mercedes dealership in Germany. The fault you have is quite Common. You Just have to reset the warning via the ECM(Star diagnosis). Same fault Happens If you overfill the AdBlue Tank it then goes Into failsafe Mode.
    Great Work as Always.

      Thank you

      Hi
I haven't run into that problem yet, but I would say, check fuses etc... and test the heater, check live data, see if there is any sort of load information as you test it...

Hi. I have been slowly working through your videos. It is a pleasure to watch a skilled technician who can actually do correct fault finding. A lot of so called mechanics have no idea what they are doing, other than read the scan tool and blindly bolt new parts on. I wish you worked in Yorkshire. Thank you for the videos.

Its easier to see the metering valve actuation if you put on the graph, its only works in very short pulses, very often the diagnostic tool dont pick that up when looking at the numbers. Also, Ive seen on many (if not all) of the Mercs that the temp sensor in the SCR module drops to zero.
I think that an other way of clearing the no start message, if its only the fill level of ad blue that has been too low, you can drive the car for at least 30-40 km for it to understand that everything is fine.
The SCR systems on these will not operate until it has high enaugh temp on both NOx sensors

hi louis when i fill ad blue i turn on the ignition so the car can see the level rise i have been told that some cars use ultra sonics to work out the level and if the ign is off and the level fills into the neck of the fill tube the car when switched on do not see the surface of the ad blue and counts down from the pre fill level

I grab Xentry immediately when working on Benz. Guess it's a habit . It is a common fault but you were smart enough to figure out what actually happened. Resetting values and adaptations is overlooked many times. Remember how they tricked people with the SBC on the W211? I made it a personal law that I do a forced/passive or active regen and reset with every repair on the exhaust and even before regular maintenance on every car with a DPF. I know that your situation is a bit different than mine but I have a lot of stupid clients. Those who buy a diesel car to drive 20 km's a day and those who have only city traffic. Almost forgot those who fuel up 10 litres at a time. Sorry Luis. I need to learn to write a short comment.

2:30 Are you guys aware of such process, which developes in default SCR. A SCR that cannot do the reduction of NOx:s. Is it common that the SCR has gone bad for good and has to be replaced. Mine was bad at 156000 km. First NOx sensor was replaced at 137000 km. Now the car has second sensor and a new SCR.
I am just wandering, how these mercedesies should be driven and should Mercedes give instructions to users how to operate these extremely delicate systems. Also some knowledge from the situation should be visually shown on instrument panel continuously of dpf burns etc.

Hey Luis , thank you for your clear infos , I think I have the same issue,
My problem was error msg to check adblue (not to refill it) +check engine light, I tried to check the level from the Menu but the level was not readable!
I filled up the adblue tank with 10 L and drove for 80km then the count down scary msg appeared that I have 790km left to drive before it would not start again .
I connected obd tool (from Vw 😅🫣) had some errors codes I deleted them then everything was back normal no check engine light, no msg , no count down, the Adblue level is readable!
I am still afraid to drive the car for a long distance specially this sequences are not logic to me specially that I filled 10 L of Adblue two months ago ! No leakage under the car !
I don’t know what is going on !

Of course you can, there is plenty of good information out there, and if you think about it, I am one of the contributers of it...
But I don't think you can diagnose every problem like that...
You can have the same problem caused by different root causes... and that is the difference when I do my videos... I don't just show the solution...
I try to show how I got there... so if you follow it, you might get to the point where you find something different, and that can help you to get to a different conclusion...
It is all about learning, and understand how things work, not just changing a certain part because someone you found on Google did it and fixed the problem... just because worked for someone else, does not necessarily means it will work for you...
      That's just my opinion...
