Even if you place your stoploss at the right position, it will attack by smart money cause they are smart. Don’t use stoploss but use your eyes to see when the price reverse from your position. Manualy cut your loss is better.

Absolutely - he is taking a wild shot at setting a stop-loss leve,l without the ATR you risk getting prematurely stopped out or risk giving too much of your money to the market when you are wrong.Period!
It's not even my hard-stop losses that got hunted. I place the price alert with mental stop loss, it still got hunted. It's always like after I entered the trade, I got 0.70R. Then, the price went against me.
i do it 1% below support but thats because i day trade stocks which is a lot less volatile than forex so i don't really get stop lossed out that easily

since you are using the daily ATR and you said price had moved average 50 pips a day. what if im using ATR on 15 min and it says 5 pips. is that meaning with the last 20 15 minute candles it has moved 5 pips on average?. is that how its calculated on other time frames to?

I suppose you have not heard of the ATR or you do not know how to use it, the ATR is what will prevent your stop loss from being taken out and if it is taken out (whatever the reason may be) it will be the minimum number of pips that the trade will demand. The ATR calculates the minimum required pips for that particular trade volatility. With your method you are taking a stab in the dark!

I’m even subscribed to an expensive course, chat room etc BUT I just want to say, this is the most helpful & informative trading video I have ever seen, straight to the facts no BS, just knowledge. Not hating on this, it's a good video. But you haven't told me WHY my stop losses break, you've just said that you need to be placing them so the "natural barriers" are working with you using the ATR/ADR etc. The real reason why your stop losses break is because banks manipulate the market following accumulation periods; by changing sentiment, by trading news events, by setting off buy and sell stops, and neutralising opposite positions by breaking through these stop losses that you're setting wrongly - consequently there is a false breakout. Banks and their deep pockets can then force the market to go in the other direction to generate a profit by distributing their positions gradually but catch retail traders with their indicators out first.
this was happening to me 9/10 times with my stop losses. I didn't even know terms to search for to look it up. Glad I found this video

I think, the solution is to use ATR, to add buffer to SL.

These are all wrong. Stop loss should ideally go above a previous high or low. A random calculation from ATR is still a bad idea.

not if you're day trading weekly options. You'll get obliterated with loose stops. This is only for high time frames
