This family have created a stunning off-the-grid tiny home for themselves! Adam and Michelle are a build dream team. One a builder and the other an interior designer, between them they have created a spectacular home, perfectly designed for family living and with a beautiful modern-country aesthetic.
With the ever exploding cost of housing, many families are feeling the pinch and many have found the dream of owning a home moving further out of their grasp. In this case of this next dynamic young family decided to do things a bit differently, and built a brilliant off the grid tiny home which now enables them to live mortgage free, and start saving up for their next life goals.
This tiny house is packed full of fantastic design. Loads of storage and features such as a walk-in-wardrobe mean that there's ample room for all of the families belongings. Twin sleeping lofts are separated for plenty of privacy and there's lots of space for the kids to play.
Being completely off the grid has also enabled the family plenty of options when it comes to parking spaces. In this case, they are currently parked on a 650 acre farm which belongs to a long-time family friend.
Enjoy the full tour of this very beautiful and creative home.

I gotta be honest, I didn't really care for the house in the beginning, but then they showed the WALK IN CLOSET and bathroom and I was sold on this design layout. What an original tiny house design!
Yes i agree, i would have had opening doors front and back of the living area. A larger wrap around deck, with dining one side and comfortable seating with an outdoor heat source the other, and it would be close to perfect. The closet and bathroom space were great.
same! the bathroom is a winner!
In future, if I ever decide to live in a tiny house it will be because of this channel. And also would like Bryce to come and make an episode on my house because it will be a totally different home than what is shown on his channel. Love your channel Bryce! Thank you for all the tour of some amazing homes.
Haha I'm always thinking the same with his videos. One day!
Im already super excited for that!
Waiting on Bryce's Iconic "ohhhh woooooow this is absolutely (positive adjective)"
A lot of us feel just like you 😂 This channel is pure inspiration.
Me too
I cannot believe this is a trailer. This is ridiculously well designed. Seems like a normal house.
Honestly, best design out of any other tiny house.
A tiny house and a trailer are not the same thing...
@@janinafisher101 it was built on a trailer

I agree. I think this is one of the best, if not the best design I've seen for a tiny house.
@@purple_scorp146 And that's without any exaggeration. I'd definitely copy this.
Well done Adam and Michelle! My daughter and her hubby are good friends with this couple and recently enjoyed an evening with them along with their 5 children. So 7 kids in total.. Michelle is an amazing cook and into healthy eating so she cooked them a beautiful meal! They all spent the evening outside sitting under the stars, toasting marshmallows and the kids all had a wonderful evening. They are a really hard working, sincere young couple who have had a huge struggle. I’m so glad their beautiful home was show cased here.. 💕
Wow the closet is bigger than in most flats! It truly shows that with thought you can design your tiny home to fit your needs without having to sacrifice anything.

I agree!
"Let's do what we can with what we have."
My parents' philosophy largely distilled and one I am trying to teach my children.
I might have made the bathroom smaller by a foot just to add more living room space, and some kind of privacy in the principle bedroom! Having said that...what a fantastic layout, feels airy and open. Beautiful design. Congratulations.
A custom built L shaped, slightly wider couch would have been totally doable with these two
yeah but having a family changes priorities and needs
Reducing bathroom and increasing living would also mean the stairs would be moved, which then wouldn't give the same bedroom spaces upstairs.
@@rena8699 Bedrooms are a good size. Anyway...it's just what I would do...they obviously did what works for them.
I see what you mean. It looks like they could do with more storage in the kitchen. I also don’t know how long the siblings will be able to share a room for?
One of the things I love most about tiny homes is how easy it is to add expansion pieces to them. And expansion pieces can be converted into tiny homes for the children to move to a different location, giving further options for children that have grown into adulthood.
Imagine growing up in a tiny home, as an older kid / young teen your parents give you a separate living space in a conjoined unit and your old space becomes an office or something, then as a young adult you end up with your own tiny home and split off to do the same.
Tiny home “breeding”, love it.
Brilliant idea. 💡
I'm totally stunned at the spaciousness of this design. Michelle has every reason to be proud of her amazing creativity. And Adam brought the dream to life. Well done all around!
I love the spacious design inside and out except for those antlers and mounted deer head (shudder) 🤷🏻♀️
I agree! My husband is a Native American Hobbyist and I have huge feather bustles and such hung all over my bedroom.
It overwhelms the room, instead of complimenting it. I hope they get rid of it when they decide to go Air BnB. I would not enjoy being in the room with it. In the States, people with a roomful of taxidermy tend to fit an unflattering stereotype.
Can barely notice it u bunch of simps

This is the second style I’ve seen with the stairway up to bedrooms on top, I love love love it. I’m building for my 3 year old son and myself and I need to have a safe passage for him between rooms at night. The layout is so functional and makes sense, I’m not a big fan of the L shaped kitchen but can see why it’s been designed that way. Love the barn doors on the main bedroom, great to see a super large bathroom with room for clothes airers, I didn’t even think about that. Great job.
Wow, I think this must be the most spacious tiny home considering all those rooms! Congrats
I hear that opening theme and I know I am in my safe and happy space just like all these tiny home dwellers! Thank you Bryce and Rasa for always being an inspiration!
Given this couples combined professions it’s no surprise this is hands down the best well thought out completely functional TH for a family of 4 I’ve seen to date. Others I’ve seen are pokey cluttered & heavily confining. This couple has taken TH concept, considered their family’s needs and made it Spacious, light, uncluttered, organised. Well done to them!
Wow. The best tiny house ever.
Bathroom is the greatest idea, and two lofts are awsome.
This is probably my favorite tiny house layout Ive seen yet on this channel. I love there is a hallway a large bathroom and 2 sleeping lifts! So impressive!
Hello Laura
Hello beautiful
Somehow, the inside of this tiny house looks so spacious. I love how they have partitioned their space.
This is the first tiny house that very feels likw a home. This house is so well designed bathrrom, closet, bedroom, kitchen perfect but for me the dining area and living room could be a tiny bit bigger but overall really good and a great price.
You can really see how different the design is compared to other tiny houses, which are only for 2 people. Living in a tiny house with kids vs without kids is such a difference. The sice and the price are both doubled, because you can't just add two bads and call it fine. You have to think about the storage, space in living room and bathroom, etc. It is incredible work, hope it will last you multiple lifetimes.
Love how much thought went into this house...the barn doors, the walk-in & with kids, the safer stairs. Great home! Wishing them many happy years & happy memories there! 🏡
I'm starting to believe that a big part of getting a tiny house is having friends or family with a beautiful plot of land that are willing to let you grab some 😊
Sending prayers from Japan for the safety of everyone in New Zealand during this time of earthquakes. Please stay safe, Bryce, Rasa, and all the tiny house families❤️❤️❤️.
Lovely home. So sad to see a dead animal on the wall.

This is the best tiny house to have so much spacious for a family. Important to have creativity and innovative ideas. Loathe crowded rooms in renting flats. Well done to them.
I hope everyone in New Zealand is okay after earthquakes... stay safe!
"More than 60 000 people reported feeling the quake on Geonet's website." We did not feel it on the website because our computer was off.
Sorry, the "sofa" just looks miserably uncomfortable. But, otherwise, what a great design! Well done!
Nar I disagree. They are both very tall. The sofa is huge.
@@rachellawrence702 what makes ya think they are very tall? Look kinda small/average to me, the guy has quite a slight frame if you compare them with the children aged 9 and 6 you may see they ain’t quite as tall as the camera angles tricked ya into thinking 🤨
Anyway ya sofa doesn’t really need to be super cosy if ya spending most ya time out in nature during the day, the beds however did look comfortable so that seems far enough to me. Plus these days ya can get various types of foams for seating so it might easily be more comfy that old style caravan numbed bum has ya remembering PATTy perhaps?🤣
I agree but that's par for the course with tiny houses, nothing unusual.
Sofa can be replaced by a comfy one. There are lots of options for. No big deal.
@@marialeonorrios5485 yeh no big deal 🤣 but since non of us have had the privilege of sitting on it non of us really know whether it’s comfy or not. So...I will just imagine it as a Goldilocks’ style ‘just right’ for all of the teenytall inhabitants of the lovely small home 💓 ;xD
The thing I like best about your videos are the logical presentations, making the relationships among all the parts very clear. So many tiny house channels don't do this.
The city near where I live is in the process of approving a tiny house village for homeless veterans, and I'm certain that your videos played a large part in getting this movement started here.

@@justtubingby129 When I imagine myself living in a tiny house, 1 of the things which brings me the most joy is the thought of seeing these beautiful creatures come and go on my yard and the surrounding areas. Wonderful home and when the kids age and want their own spaces, it wouldn't be too hard to give up the main bedroom for the kids up stairs and build a new annex for the parents.
I’ve seen tiny houses but this one is far a surprise. From a corridor to a walk-in closet large bathroom and two bedroom loft that’s AMAZING ❤️
What an incredible design! Feels just like a full sized home on the inside :0
So here is a request, each Tiny house portrayed it would be great to have the layout design posted or blueprints on your website!
This is not an architectural firm and blueprints normally have to be bought. The tiny homes that Bryce and Rasa show are mostly designed by and built by (or for) the owners. Giving the length, width and height overall (which they ALWAYS do near the beginning) is way more than most presenters do!! They also show and describe EVERYTHING, whereas I've watched a tiny homes presented on other channels where afterwards you have no idea at all of the size or layout. If you want a tiny, you DO have to do some research, planning and/or work for yourself OR go through a tiny home company that offers different plans (with some limited options) and will build it for you!! You can research those on the internet. Sorry, I hold Bryce and Rasa in the highest esteem and they go above and beyond to show these unique homes and how they came to be, with great detail. Having no background whatsoever, with what I just watched and pausing occasionally to make some notes, I could draw on graph paper a pretty close representation of this home. But yes it would take some effort to do so. Where I live in rural/small town Pennsylvania, USA, zoning makes it almost impossible to do this. If I were younger, I would find a way though. There are still lots of farms here, but even they have zoning restrictions, unless they sell out to a commercial builder--but then the lots would be zoned for permanent dwellings. Sigh. Good Luck and happy researching to you though!
I love the design of this house but only one thing I would change, I’d have a really comfy couch instead of that bench seat.
This channel has shown me the kind of life I want to live
I love the idea of the doors connecting the loft with the living room, great build!
I'd like to see a safety rail, and a means to retrieve the loft doors when opened.

I’ve wanted to go tiny for years but the two things I didn’t think I could go without, a decently sized bathroom and wardrobe and they figured it out so amazingly! I’m completely blown away! So happy for them
This is my best tiny house so far. It's modern, roomier, airier and a beautiful colour scheme. I like that it has two separate bedrooms. Better if each bedroom has a door. Toilet/bathroom is exquisite! Outdoors is beautiful....grass is not bushy, the grounds is well spread out and open! And typically of most tiny houses, it's isolated with no other houses in sight(which I don't like). Added benefit is that there are outdoor buildings and a leisure area with a big porch infront. I just love it🤩
I'll never understand the black home craze in recent years, but to each their own. Some people must love roasting any day its even mildly warm and sunny.
It would actually be nice in the winter though. Depends on what your own needs are, as where I live the summer is brutally hot and humid yet the winter is fairly mild.
"Ah, roast home owner. My favorite dish." - Tax collector
When a house is that small you could paint it white for summer, black for winter.

I love the walk in wardrobe. I often feel bothered by all the storage being strewn in. And including laundry space in the bathroom. That actually bothers me now in my flat. It is spacious, but I have to dry etc in my living/dining room. Plus on a farm with two kids, you got loads of laundry.

Am I the only person here who could not possibly live in a home with a huge dead animal staring at me, no matter how beautiful the rest of the house is?
Yes and I was so shocked that they even gave him a nickname after killing him. This is so disrespectful for this beautiful deer and it really sadden me...
Easy to take that out. Happen that the owners are hunters, nothing to be proud about it but we need to respect others choices.

Truly a match made in heaven - its almost magical how they managed to cram everything in there and still have some space
I'm surprised nobody commented on how it looked like she was gonna fall out of the loft when she opened the doors up. That ish looked super dangerous. Other than that.... nice job.

We also need a house. But our financial situation is not good. I think that if there was a relief fund in the world and everyone could benefit from this fund, there would be no unhappy people in the world. Imagine how many lives would be saved if there was such a fund, if there were 100,000 members in this fund and everyone donated just $ 1 to this fund. I wish there was such a fund and we could live. With that closet I would give up the storage of a window seat and have a real couch. I would also give up the dishwasher for more cabinet space.
I was and still am wowed by this home but yeah, I'd want a real couch too... far more than a foam covered mattresses on a hard bench... and I'd dispense with a dishwasher as I do now but hey, they love their kitchen as it is.
I would NEVER give up the dishwasher even if I have to live in a 2x2 meter shed
A real couch is a deal breaker for me and although the bathroom is fabulous, I'd have made it a bit smaller and used the extra space somewhere else. After all, how much time do you spend in the bathroom compared to the general living area?
@@wilmaknickersfit once you consider that it is bathroom, toilet, and laundry in one (ish), three rooms that are normally seperate (and not necessarily even in the same part of the house) in NZ homes, it becomes a bit less unreasonable. The extra space was stated to be in part so there was somewhere to Dry the laundry if it was raining outside, and a dryer would take up less space, but is a massive power hog (if less so than an electric oven/stove).
There was a short period where having the toilet in the bathroom like in the USA was "the thing", but to my limited knowledge people seem to have realised there was a good reason why we didn't do it that way before (and that if you're short on space it's better to skip the bathtub) and so it's fallen by the wayside except in en suites)
@@laurencefraser I like the loo separate from the rest, but here in the UK I'd say probably the majority of homes still don't have a laundry room (I'm not a fan of dryers anyway). I was interested in the outdoor container was used for they clearly need it for something and I could see the laundry facilities being set up outside the main house. Mulling it over, I also think that their 10 year old daughter is reaching the age where sharing with her brother is not going to be practical for a number of reasons. In fact, it puzzled me that they designed the house so recently planning that the children will share a bedroom. At first they were both so enthusiastic that I thought it sounded they intended to live in the house long term and had factored in changes to the design, but then we find out that they've only lived in the house for 15 months and they're planning on buying land to build a bigger house on with the tiny house becoming an Airbnb. In the end it just didn't gel right for me and it crossed my mind what a bonus it will be to say in the Airbnb adverts that the house was featured on this channel. I can just imagine what it's like when the girl's friends come over and so does her brother's friends!

With prices going up its for sure making people consider tiny hose living much more and with this family home its showing people that its not difficult but wonderful to live this way. Norway have still roules that makes it hard to live like this but i hope that channels like yours will push people to work harder for changes. Its so important to have this option to live without only focusing on being able to pay for your home. This family gives many of us hopes for a nice family life in the tiny house comunity. Thank you for all the good content and videos. :)
