There is a scripture in Proverbs that says God will perfect everything that concerns us. For a long time it gave me confidence that whatever I put before the Lord He would address it, BUT I realized that it also means He will address what concerns Him about me. God is HOLY, when the Lord was preparing His people to serve Him he made it very clear of what people should do to relate to one another and God for a good and successful life. This is found all through Leviticus and Deuteronomy, not the most exciting reads lol but it shows how involved God is. The closer you get to Him the more He will address, even smaller things we take lightly.
Oh you're preaching over here!!! I 1000% agree! He cares so deeply for us that He's concerned with every nook and cranny of our lives. Thanks for taking the time to encourage us with that Truth!
We all make mistakes but the scripture is in Psalms 138:8

I need help giving up secular music
I just asked the Lord to deliver me from it (once I realized it was a stronghold) and He did! I could've never done that on my own.

This is one of the biggest elephants in the room. Most people don't notice it or rationalize it completely to where it's complete delusion about the insidious nature of modern music. What a great video. Especially the end

I was convicted of secular music as well. I got rid of all of Beyoncé. I still have some love songs etc that are secular but certain artists are GONE from my iTunes. I also have a whole Christian R&B/Hip-Hop playlist in my link on my bio if you’re interested.
It’s sad cause I love that P.Diddy song “You” that features a bunch of artists singing to Jesus. Diddy produced it :(
Good for you for being obedient! And I know what you mean as far as letting some songs go because it can be a grieving process.
I stopped listening to secular music as well for the same reason that it was hindering me
my biggest regret is not being obedient a long time ago! But I'm thankful that God is merciful.
