    You do realize they are currently building a dark ride based on the hash slinging slasher. It's set to open next fall. It'd supposed to go completely underneath the mall. They are also building a "Are You Afraid Of The Dark" haunted house.

    The reason why these coasters are so rough is basically cuz they don’t have individual footers so when the positives G’s compress the concrete ground down they have to bounce back up cuz the foundation is designed to absorb the forces, if they didn’t move the concrete could crack, but cuz it gets pushed down when it needs to bounce back to its original location it pushes up on the supports and track creating a vibration cuz all of the footers are connected so all of them in the area will be undergoing forces, for more detail go check out my video about it

      I have no clue why this comment got tagged as spam.

    I would visit Nickelodeon Universe again but I was very frustrated how some signature attractions were closed as well the website may not be telling the truth of what rides are really closed until you get to the park. But if you plan to visit, make sure to check the alerts page to see what rides are closed and avoid paying the Nickelodeon skip the line pass as it just wasn’t busy on a Sunday.
    Update: The Nickelodeon Universe has finally allowed reentry

  • @mitchellries256
    @mitchellries256 Před rokem

    I've looked up rules and regulations since this video was made. It looks like you still have to pay the pricing difference between when you buy your ticket and when you arrive, but it looks like prices have decreased a little bit, they've brought back the Twilight Pass for the final two hours of the night, and they've added "Points Passess" for whatever select rides you wish to experience. I don't know whether re-entry is still forbidden or not.
    I also don't understand parking at the mall. They say it's free for thirty minutes or less and then five dollars over that, but I don't know if that means five dollars in total or five dollars every half hour, hour, or something else.

    I've only been to 6 Flags Great Adventure twice: in 1977 (Log flume and Run Away Mine Train) and 1981. (Lightening Loops and Rolling Thunder) If I were to go to N.Y or N.J. in 2021 My 1st priority would be 6 Flags Great Adventure and my 2nd would be Nickelodeon Universe American Dream over Luna Beach (although I'd still wanna try riding Cyclone despite the fact that it has 12 row trains of three cars w four rows each). Rolling Thunder was the longest, tallest and fastest coaster I rode when I rode it at age 11 in August 1981 until I went to Cedar Point my 1st and so far my only time in May 2018 at the ripe old age of 48, but even in 1981 I knew Rolling Thunder wasn't as good as Coaster at Playland back in Vancouver. My dad knew it too!

    I gotta admit I'm a bit confused to why they added in so many coasters right at the start. Like it kinda seems like the two intamin's could've waited a couple of years, already have a huge gerstualer infinity shellraiser PLUS shredder, and the nick-slime family coaster. Then again, it is technically year 2 even if it doesn't seem like it, and they were supposed to get done much sooner and then further delays of "re-opening" cause covid, I think maybe they just got stuck with having to put stuff somewhere and went ahead and did their "year 2/3" plans with more coasters and maybe even more rides.

  • @StamfordBridge
    @StamfordBridge Před 3 lety +2

    Thanks again for the detailed review. Because of it, I went to the park today. I had low expectations in terms of park charm, so I wasn’t disappointed there. By the time I booked, they had shifted their hours for today, so it was a choice of 11-3 or 4-8. I feel that choosing 11-3 was wise, because the park was not crowded, while an employee told me he thought the evening session would be. I was literally the first person let into the park, and as a result I had zen rides on four of the five coasters within half an hour. But Shellraiser was closed for hours and only managed to open with twenty minutes to go! (With me on the first coaster!) Thoughts:
    -Slime Streak is far better than the equivalent ride in Minnesota.
    -The park offers a lot of crazy hang time for those really into it (Sandy’s, Shellraiser, disk ride).
    -Sandy’s Bucking Bronco was great fun - although rougher than I expected.
    -The big shock was the extremely rattly ride on Shellraiser. I sat in the front, if that makes a difference, and the rattle was so severe it definitely detracted from the ride enjoyment. Not a good sign for a coaster this new.
    Overall, I had fun, though, and I’m glad my 2020 will not be 100% coaster free.

      @CanobieCoaster  Před 3 lety

      Glad you enjoyed it.
      I personally enjoy Pepsi Orange Streak over Slime Streak. Slime Streak is wilder, but I prefer the length and visuals of the other one.

There were maybe 10 people in the entire park, and every single ride was a walk on, for the entire day. luckily it is only half an hour from my park, but stupid ass garbage balls rule says I can't go in on my own if I'm not 14 or older (I'm 13) and there's no free admission for a supervisor.
