- ‘90s kids who grew up watching ABC’s Friday night “TGIF” block surely remember Rider Strong. As Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World, Strong played the best friend to Ben Savage’s Cory Matthews. An opposite of sorts to Cory, Shawn was a kind of “bad boy” with a troubled family dynamic whose storylines were often some of the more serious on the show.
After Boy Meets World wrapped in 2000, Strong appeared in a couple of Hollywood productions, but he's mostly stayed out of the spotlight. There’s a reason you don’t see much of him these days. Hollywood stopped casting this Boy Meets World actor, here's why.

Rider Strong is an excellent actor. He played his parts with passion and conviction without being over the top. Although he is no longer acting, Im happy that he has a family of his own, had continued his studies & working on various projects. I wish him well.
Disney Channel showed him a lot of love back in the 90s 🥺

No. Rider himself stopped acting. He went to school and wanted to write. He wanted to direct.
They stopped casting him because he would’ve stole the show with his looks. Especially, if the show wasn’t him playing lead.

He has been in 19 movies and 24 tv series since bmw went off the air. Lol. Totally unable to get work.

I hope he continues to have a happy blessed life and I especially pray for his marriage because staying married in Hollywood that's 100% divorce rate right there
What's most amazing was that none of the kids were traumatically scarred usually Disney's a walking pedo so I'm glad that they were safe.
I get the feeling that all the characters on that show that were kids most likely their parents were very keen and aware of what was going on all the time because nothing bad happened to them
A lot of sick crap that happens in Hollywood when kids are not looked after very very carefully

these were early '90s actors but you'd be surprised the sick crap that was going on even back then just think of Epstein's island
Family Matters & Step by Step were both a few years older than BMW. BMW didn't necessarily endure longer (thought it probably would have), it just lasted a normal run.
I would say 6-8 seasons is a pretty long run most shows get 4-5
6 years is a long time, especially at a job you hate. We grew up with them. I’m not sure how the other shows pertain to this actor and his major roles either? But ok.
"Since girl meets world"? He was in a few movies in between the time of BMW and GMW.

Disney channel got him to act as Uncle Shawn Hunter again in girl meet world TV show. He marries Maya mom and adopt Maya to be his daughter. So Maya Heart is now Maya Hunter.
Rider Strong is still acting….He also has kids, and likes to spend time with them….Who knew?
My friend worked at a movie theater and she told me back in the early 2000s when he made some movie called Cabin Fever he was very rude and buying a ticket at the movie theater and he was so entitled.

Liars for a lot of reason sure he may have been hard to work with a lot of actors even just humans not only actors and actresses are like . And there may have been some bad memories for him . He wanted to move on this is normal
