Retired Marine vet here. I trained with the ROK Marines and SEALs near Pohang and Guryonpo, SK, in the late 90s and I can tell you they are one badass motherfuckers man. I’m glad they’re on our side. I’ve seen one ROK Marine battalion run up a mountain near Pohang while carrying 40kg of full gear, and that’s excluding the weight of the rifle. My deepest respect for these soldiers.

Most of what you see here are just demonstrations and yes, they are incredible in real life situations. In a man to man fight with one of these guys and ladies, the chances are South Korean will be the victor!
So I’m an active duty Marine. And I can tell you that you are not going to move that easily with full kit on. It’s hard to even stand up let alone jump around. War belt and flak vest alone will set you 60 or more pounds. But hey it looks cool I guess. 🤷♂️

개소리입니다. 전투에서 오로지 총으로만 싸우는 것도 아니고 군의 생존률을 조금이라도 키우기 위해 근접전투 기습 암살 등의 훈련은 너무 당연한겁니다. 소음기를 착용해도 야간이나 조용한 곳에서는 큰소리로 들리기 때문에 반드시 칼이나 맨손으로 적을 죽여야하는 상황도 반드시 존재합니다. 당장 다치는게 중요한게 아니라 전쟁에서 살아남는게 제일 중요합니다. 그 전쟁경험이 썩어넘쳐나는 미군도 육탄전 근접전투 나이프 사용법 다 배우는거는 아십니까? 필요하기에 배우는거고 그것은 생존성과 직결되는 문제입니다. 특수부대의 싸움은 민간인 개싸움이 아니라는걸좀 알아두시길
