  • On this episode of Think4x4 Ben and Lochie install 'The Cruiser Company Lift Up Windows' in preparation for a Cape York trip later in the year.
The 'Lift Up Windows' allow full access through the window cavity in comparison to the old standard sliding windows which only open half way and have to be unlatched from the inside of the vehicle.
Furthermore the Gull Wings will allow for quicker access into the rear of the vehicle which will come in handy for those quick recoveries.
We foresee this product coming in handy in future trips! Keep your eyes peeled!

My fixed-glass side cargo windows have to come out to deal with rust and I've considered different solutions but haven't seen one that seems to work well. My window openings will have much more rust being a 29 yr old DX.

So 10 months later what do you think of them? I’m looking at the same ones for my 80 but want to know if the quality is there. Great video.

Great vid guys. How do rate them quality wise ? Cause I'm tossing up between these $800 pair and the Emu Wings with are about $1500

Factory deadener: get dry ice to freeze the old stuff and take to it with a hammer and chisel. Took me 2 days to strip the old stuff out. Follow with wax and grease remover before laying the new stuff

Heat stuffs the coating of rust converter, have patience

  • @davidowencunningham2743

Why didn't you go EMU Wings as you don't need to drill body and rust out your Car in 2 years?

How do you rate these compared to more expensive Emu Wings? Also since you fitted the Cruiser Co ones did you considering re-painting them white on the outside as black would not reflect heat very well. Which 045 colour coded rattle cans did you use?

-38’s with the 35x12.5’s. loving the look however I had a 3” lift and they scrubbed so I had to go to 4”, extended bump stops and will need to widen the flares slightly. Definitely loving the beadlock life!
