- HOLOSUN CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!! They showed out again for Shot Show 2024, releasing a wide variety of innovative optics and accessories. The pistol thermal optic was the biggest buzz from their booth, allowing thermal overlay for a pistol red dot. We will likely not see it in production until next year, but we are excited about where they are pushing the envelope. We will see their rifle night vision and thermal overlay red dots on the market right now! The IRIS is also worth mentioning, an IR laser and illuminator with an adjustable throw. I’ve never shot thermal or night vision but would you really be able to use it on a handgun considering you should be target focused. I feel like this would just create bad habits of dot or “screen” focus
The tech isn’t really there yet. Has a lot of time to get working properly.
