Then one day I was sleeping when I woke up I saw my two distant uncles are watching that in our computer which is in the bedroom(in some small areas in India bedroom doesn't have privacy). Then I had to watch it few more times reluctantly with my elder cousin with my ears totally closed with my fingers. So much 'SAW' in this film, in terms of the twists, music, and shots. It's also classic horror with dolls and jump scares, and solid gore, of course. Not to mention the kind of nested mythos within the film (akin to IT and others), since it is a ghost story, fundamentally. Further, it has great themes and symbolism with the stepmother and Mary herself, along with a great build-up to said twist/ending. Great psychology in this film. Therefore, I rank this film as one of the best horror films of all time. Not the best at all, but one of the best, all things considered.

Anyone with a phobia of dolls/dummies or other inanimate objects will find this movie terrifying. I'm one of those. Great movie! The music was awesome and that twist was... twisted.

I grew up with horror movies. So most movies didn't really scare me. Dead silence is the only movie that's terrified me for years I don't even know why it wasn't even that scary

I love how Detective Donnie Wahlberg comes straight out of 80s Columbo episodes AND 40s Film Noir Detective movies! I'd watch that cop deal with The Maltese Falcon and Sunset Blvd any day of the week.

Are you guys going to maybe consider the new adult Goosebumps RL Stine series coming to Netflix? Based on his Fear Street series. I'm excited for it. Might make for some amazing reactions.
