China market potential World EV sales in China - 60%. Monthly car sales in China (all types) - 1.8 million. Fraction of those that are BEV - 26%. BEV & PHEV - 42%. These numbers are approximate and constantly changing.
Tesla EV sales in China: June 2023 - 74,212 June 2024 - 59,261 A decrease of 20% YoY.
Nio EV sales in China: June 2023 - 10,500 June 2024: 21,000 An increase of 200% YoY.
In June 2023, Nio's market share in China was 14% of Tesla's market share in China.
In June 2024, Nio's market share in China was 35% of Tesla's market share in China.
Tesla is in trouble worldwide. It raised its prices on its Model 3 in Europe due to the tariffs imposed on China-made EVs. Tesla's June 2024 China-made EV sales are down 24.2% YoY.
Sales of PHEVs in China are up 67% MoM compared to BEV sales in China are up only 10% MoM.
Tesla's market is shrinking to the US market, hurt by European tariffs in the European market and Chinese competition in the Chinese market. If Tesla does not reach Level 5 autonomy by summer 2025 (and BEFORE anyone else), its market shrinkage will decimate its stock price. Onvo will accelerate this, while potentially doubling Nio's monthly deliveries by summer 2025.
I don't think Tesla (or anyone else) will reach Level 5 by summer 2025. Musk vastly underestimated the difficulty of the problem (or simply realized the benefit of hyping it to happen "very soon").

What I don't understand is, why the battery bolts/screws are not being released from the inside and the battery is simply pulled out magnetically.
I kind of thing that unscrewing/screwing the battery pack from the outside is doomed to fail sooner or later. If there were bolts inside the car (far away from all the dirt and other influences) the whole system would be much more resilient.
How exactly would you use magnets?

@@marcusfleuti2672 I believe the battery packs cases Nio uses are made from Aluminium which wouldn't be magnetic.

Nio stock will not move for another year I will wait until next year to buy.

Well let’s hope NIO learn and make improvements in the future.
If NIO are aware of faulty batteries then surely they should have a system in place where the battery can be removed and isolated safely? If they monitor where the swap is taking place a team could be mobilised to remove the battery from the swap station - or wherever it's swapped. Would save them the cost of a battery swap station and bad publicity. I look forward to receiving a 20% cut of the cost of each battery swap station I've saved from burning down for my idea. Thank-you. 😉
