After selling a couple homes in 2022, I'm anticipating a housing crisis in order to buy inexpensively. As a backup plan, I've been thinking about purchasing stocks. What recommendations do you have for the best time to buy? On the one hand, I keep reading and seeing trader earnings of over $500k each week. On the other side, I keep hearing that the market is out of control and experiencing a dead cat bounce. Any Advice?

Alexandria would been a good choice especially by the Eisenhower, King, and Braddock station areas. Also Potomac Yards is on the border to Crystal City.

I'm currently living in DC, having moved from SF almost 2 yrs ago. I'll be moving again elsewhere in the district in the coming months and so I'm researching different apartment buildings. Can you tell me which ones you visited? I recognize some of the designs in common areas but I've looked at so many buildings at this point that I don't remember which are which. Can you let me know if you like your current building and what cons there are with it? I'd also love to know any extra mandatory costs like that cable/internet package you had mentioned plus estimated costs of things you might have to set up on your own (like if you set up electric -Pepco yourself, the appropriate costs for that). My current building includes all utilities in the rent except internet.

I do not recommend the movers I used. They upcharged me without advance notice for several things and were pretty unprofessional. It cost $3K+ to move from California to the East Coast. Not cheap.

Hello Mrs. Molly! I'm going to Gtown for a MBA program ... and I was considering moving to Dupond circle or maybe Roslyn ... my budget is similar, as much i can stretch it to 2200/month. Did you consider those areas?

DuPont Circle is not in my budget but I would love to live there. You can probably find housing in Rosslyn but the neighborhood isn’t all that exciting.
