Firstly thank you for your series of repair videos which are very helpful. Secondly although it is likely too late to help the two posters asking about the C38AW below I figured it out while replacing the capacitor on mine yesterday. The motor fan is held on not by a circlip but a sort of washer with six slots which are forced down and into the slot the circlip would normally sit in. I couldn't really figure out how to get the motor fan off without destroying the washer but then thought to look at the bottom of the dryer where I found a removeable 4- screw panel which allows access to the electrical side of the capacitor and the motor pulley for removing the belt. Turning the machine over again and removing the screws of the back panel there is just enough room to get your arm in to remount the capacitor to the bracket, I managed it okay but the pressure pushed the blades on the motor fan up a touch and had to push them down into shape again as they were rubbing on the housing when I initially put the cover plate back on. But it all went well and the wife is happy again which is all that matters really.

Why did you need to uncouple the wires from the switch if you're just changing the belt.?

I have an old CL 767 SV model of the WhiteKnight. All works fine. I want to change the drainage option from external pipe to Internal bottle. I do not know how to do it. I have downloaded the instructions and service manuals but none help actually instructing me on how to actually change the option. Inside the dryer there are two pipes - Blue pipe which is leading to the bottle and the Red one is connected to the same valve which leads to the water pipe outside of the dryer. Well, how do I make the dryer to route the water to go to the Bottle? Your help would be much apprecaited.

I took the back off my white knight model (C38AW) by removing about 400 screws (without an electric screwdriver🙄) but down at the bottom corner where the fan thing is, it wouldn't come away. It's like the rod that goes from the fan into the other bit (whatever that is) is bolted in? Dunno and I know I'm not describing it very well! I don't know if I just need to tug it harder or if it is actually bolted in. Any ideas?
