Your dining area gives me hope!!! I literally have a half of a wall from our staircase to work with that cuts into my living room and you give me hope that I can still make a cozy intimate space 😭 and literally the table is BEAUTIFUL it is my dream table!!! I’m so happy there’s someone I can watch who has some of the same struggles with their house as I do and finds solutions for it. It’s hard watching other makeovers like this but they have a huge dining room to work with. So thank you!!
This makes me SO HAPPY. Everything in this house is tiny, so my goal is to share ideas to help others with tiny spaces too! I know we can find ways to get creative. 💓

I'm so tempted to start my house watching all your fantastic rewarding work. The dining area is stunning. I love the two large pictures either side of the window, they make the window blend seamlessly into the room and seem much bigger. Very clever.❤

I love what you have been able to create in a small corner of your new Extention. The table is chic & Stunning, the discrete custom made bench with cushions against the wall is a neat trick... I love the blk, tans & greens against monochrome, lantern Lights & candle sticks are a Beautiful finish.

That is a beautiful dining area you created...ten months on a house renovation is a drop in the bucket...While you are emitting blood, sweat and tears to bring your vision to life...you still have to make a living...watching your progress and the collaborations with other artists is very enjoyable...we are all sharing in your Happy Dance! It’s so beautiful, and looks very spacious. I’ve seen those enclosed blinds before and they usually have a way of ‘pulling them up’. If you can do this they can be tucked away under the wooden blinds.

I’m so obsessed with how this space came together, everything from the structural changes you and your dad made to the custom pieces you made with your friends, and all the way up to the way you guys styled it to bring everything together, it’s all incredible and so inspired.
I especially love that you created a smaller designated space for your eating area, cause let’s be honest, having a space to eat on the reg and gather with loved ones is important but it’s not nearly as much of a central space in the modern home anymore. I feel like back in the day there was so much emphasis on the kitchen and dining table as being the heart of the home, but the way people live these days we spend way more time in living rooms as the main gathering/lounging/living spaces. I think what you did with your dining area is perfect for modern living, it’s functional and beautiful without taking up so much space while it’s not in use! Brilliant as always, Sam!

Dining area is fantastic- and the table could actually fit 8 if needed.
We downsized and hired a contractor to renovate our new little home and it took over a year to get done even though he had a whole crew.
So I think you’re doing great getting this done while working full time elsewhere and with the crew being you and your dad (with occasional wonderful help from Danie!).
