Also to add a context A Thailand ARMY (shout out to Sky_hxneul) was kind enough to educate us and explain that this was filmed in Thailand and that place is called the "Thief Market" Rattanakosin Island's ( Old name of Thailand from 1782-1892) and it was the first international shoping center in the period after the abolition of slavery.. This is how he explained it : so this market came to exist because the people in the palace freed from slavery when they moved out of the palace, they received some goods from the master and also stole some They then brought those goods to sell them in this area. Now we know that Haegeum is a traditional instrument but also means the liberation of the prohibition..

Upright with bow, consisting of very few strings few strings, but emits, sound that has ability of one conveying inner feeling & expression by sound. Suga has always wanted to & has in past, to combine, use traditional Korean instruments, while composing modern hip beat and or sounds musically. Suga/Agust D being twins - one is a psychopath, the other soft spoken - now THIS is out…well think a supernatural/action story of twins that have been cursed to be reincarnated until a balance can be made between the good/evil. This song and the mv had me in a chokehold. Not only did Yoongi's acting get MUCH better (and he was already literally a pro), but the entire cinematography backs it up. The song is a banger, no doubt. But the mv is so fascinating. In Daechwita, he killed the blond Agust D because he was too corrupt with anger and resentment. Agust D couldn't take it anymore. But in Haegeum the Agust D scar ended up as corrupted as the blonde Agust D. It's interesting that the new Agust D basically started the mv by killing a person and ending with the memory of it. Agust D is a trilogy because Yoongi was finally able to unite with Suga and Agust D. They are no longer apart because he learned to embrace all of his feelings. In this MV, the new Agust D. is a vigilante and violent villain because that's what Agust D is. But instead of just killing the scarred Agust D, who in this narrative, is a corrupt secret agent, (as happened to the blonde Agust D), he ALSO burned the money scar that Agust D had. My interpretation, which may not be correct. 🤣. Finally, cheers to SUGA for yet another unique work of art.👏❤

Suga said this is the final installment in Agust D's trilogy following his two previous mixtapes.

The way I see it is that in Daechwita he kills Agust D blonde from his first mixtape (remember he was blonde in that era) coz he changed and he was no longer that person. In this new MV I think it happened the same. His new persona (the one with the chopsticks) kills the Agust D from Daechwita (the one with the scar who outlived the king in the past video) as he has changed and morphed into someone else again. With different goals and beliefs.
It's like with every new album he drops he kills the past version of himself because he doesn't feel like he is that person with that mindset anymore. He keeps growing and the focus of his songs are not the ones it were before.

This is my take on this. The king from daechwita and Agustd got reincarnated in the present. The king still remains to be a powerful individual in the present. This can be seen when he was coming out of the police station. The police office at the door saluted to him. Agustd in the present seems to be an undercover cop. At first you would think that he's a bad guy but as the mv progresses, you will see that he laid a trap for the reincarnated king. At the end of the video, Agustd was able to defeat the reincarnated king (who is now a corrupt high ranking officer) just like what happened in daechwita. I assumed that the reincarnated king was corrupt because he got pissed when Agustd burned the money he took from the reincarnated king's people. Another proof that Agustd has the role of an undercover cop is the scene at the last part of the mv. He was in a police car but was free to get off of it to eat at a restaurant. Therefore, he is not being arrested but escorted.
As for the song, the words used were very good. I guess he was trying to say that our society is filled with hypocrisy, greed, and jealousy. People only support and believe in things that would benefit them. Our society frowns upon a lot of things (therefore the term forbidden was used). I guess Agustd is saying that it is okay to do such things as long you don't overindulge and hurt others. The real evil people are those like the reincarnated king who use their money or/and influence to benefit themselves even to the point that they are causing harm to society.
In the end Agustd killed the reincarnated king and was supported by the people in scene. I guess Agustd was implying that through his own means (maybe through his songs and good deeds) he will try to fight injustice with the help of the people who agree with his beliefs.
Well , that was how I interpreted everything, but I maybe wrong. LOL.
As for the song, I soooooo love it.
