That’s what it’s supposed to do but so many ppl don’t understand that the “pro’s” aren’t mixing “raw” vocals because the vocals already sound good because they printed through gear or plugins

🔥 I record through the Waves Scheps 73 preamp & the Waves PuigChild Compressor.
In studio there are inserts on the Mic channel. I Rec/Print through NS1, UAD1073, TubeTech Cl 1B, UAD1176(or LA2A). Then each vocal track goes to a bus with a few more inserts.
yeah that works too. i always print in fl cuz its easier to choose post effects or eq

Bro my plug-ins like my compressor and delay auto tune have a number of “samples” on them and they each have like 3ms of delay individually and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to remove the samples from the plugins I know it has to be some type of data to remove from them I would delete and redownload but I don’t know if redownloading stock fruity compressor and soundgoodizer etc is a thing

Since watching your videos, I now print through my plugins. But I'm very light handed because sometimes the DAW processes thit's differently than I hear them through my monitors. Just a preamp w/ high pass and light compression.
Light handed is cool cuz you still have a lot of control. I figured I had to make a video to show the negatives to be aware of with the print method

When it comes to printing I wanted to record With a basic vocal chain. Autotune, compression, reverb. Well someone told me I can’t use melodyne to clean up take later. And I can’t understand why. I’m gonna record over and over till I get it good and was only gonna use melodyne to touch up a small part I couldn’t get or just to polish little odds and ends if I see any good way to improve it. So that’s why I never got melodyne. Why can’t I record with autotune first and then melodyne? Some dude was telling me I Gota record DRY then melodyne then effects 😒
If imma use Melodyne I won’t print but it’s. It a major problem to have.

I’ve never used one but it’s been used in songs tho. A lot of ppl use it for pods but the quality is good it’s just a dynamic mic not a condenser
@@SKYJORDXN I need a new microphone, my room echoes a bit, that's why everyone recommended it to me. I'm just worried that it's too quiet and I'm doing too much in the mix. I'm also more into the Trav Don sound and I like my voice to be a little crispy is yk? could you maybe recommend one?
@reav5812 have you tried anything to take some of the reverb out the room with and isolation type products? Cuz a dynamic mic could help you but so could an eyeball type thing or something.
@@SKYJORDXNI was looking into making a set up in corner to help avoid room reverb. Also a super cardioid microphone blocks a ton more room noise out I was told. Is this accurate statement ? For a good dynamic I had my eyes on the telefunken m80. It’s super cardioid dynamic and suppose to have excellent proximity effect. It doesn’t look like a studio mic but says it’s suppose to be a work horse capable of live on stage and the studio too. Good or bad choice you think ? Plan to use it for both rap and rock projects
ahhh, yes PRINTING, i only record people who wrote they lyrics down on with a number 2 pencil and college ruled paper, and recited outloud 6 to 700 times till they can go off paper for the whole song one take no mistake so PRINTING is for those Artist's only in my opinion, Tell em again bro, thats old school.
not the #2 pencil lol but i get it tho you don't want to have your time wasted at all
