Oh my gosh you are so pretty, and your hair is to DIE FOR! Haha. Last time I used the Hicolor in red hot and copper red, then topped it with MP Vampire Red and it's a really nice Burgundy blood red color. But Now it's Time to dye again, and I think I'll try the Red and Magenta! (:

If your refreshing you don’t need to use any developer higher than 10, higher than 10 is for lifting the hair but all you need is to deposit . Not tryna hate on the way u do your hair lol I’m licensed and I don’t want you to fry your hair . Try using a Demi color it’ll save your hair in the long run

What if you hair is a dull red? & you want to make it brighter Red like my hair is burgundy but I want it RED like in the video. Is it okay to use 30 developer then? Or would it still fry the hair?
@@amberbailey5931: Hey Amber, I'm no professional myself, but I'm kind of getting this same magenta, burgundy red look on mine, so I'm heading to Sally's beauty supply tomorrow to 40 developer alongside 30 and a protein color filler to see if it finally comes out like this. I'm still trying to learn myself.
You are right. I use 10-20 volume even for my roots XD, and regular red dye, not this hi lift, but I have light very light brown(level 6-7). Demi color for the rest is is good advice, I do that, it is great. Once every 4-6 months I dye all my hair with 10 volume, the only problem I do have with 10 volume is that on some of my greys it washes off after 3 weeks, but it stays on the rest. I usually color my hair every 4-8 weeks.

How often do you dye ?
I have a question I used the red box dye twice but hair wasn't bring enough but I damaged my hair it was falling out for a whole month like hand fulls I wanna lighten it one more time but while I let my hair rest like 5 months I used manic panic it really helped my hair heal & feel smooth , do yuu think I can use the red with 30 developer over the manic panic ? Since the red box is only for natural dark hair " virgin hair "

Jass Ramirez 30 developer is really strong when I used it my hair fallen out (I have very bright red hair) use 20 or 10 if yu want it to be bright though you’ll have to bleach it

You can use the saw ones she used. Its hi color by loreal . The hi color formula is specialized for dark hair so you don't have to bleach your hair. I have very dark hair and i always use hi color and its beautiful and I don't have to damage my hair. Depending on how bright you want to go. If your hair is very dark you should use a 40 developer the first time and to touch up the color use 10 or 20 developer and only to do your roots use a 30 or 40. Hope this was helpful. Also if you have never dye your own hair before have someone help you. Oh and another tip do not I repeat do not start at your roots start 2 inches lower or more then go back to your roots. If you do it will be way brighter than everything else. Hope it turns out awesome

I've been dyeing my hair for 2 years now. My hair color would last 2 months and a half. I use special shampoo and conditioner for red dye treatment. However, lately, it doesn't last at all!!! I dye it red, after the first week its gone pink, then the week after that is orange, and then yellowish. How can I fix this problem?
Marie M. Try mixing a semi permanent red dye(i recommend ion color brilliance in red) in with your conditioner, use it after you wash your hair, it doesn’t damage your hair and it keeps your hair refreshed for a longer period of time.

Hey Stephhh sooo wait you don’t use shampoo after u rinse the dye out u only use the conditioner 😱 I’m only asking because I’ve been shampooing then conditioner🤦🏽♀️ I’m starting to think that I’m washing all the color out well most of it! I mean it still comes out red and really really nice but I’m trying to find like a rinse I can use in between dyeing it without developer all the time! I need a touch up right now my color is like a rose gold when the red starts to fade and idk why it fades to this color 😳it’s pretty tho I get a lot of compliments but I LOVE MY RED HAIR THO😍

Pour in as much as you think you need. It doesn't really matter.

You don't need to bleach your hair. Stephanie has another video where she used Color Oops to remove old dye before dying her hair red again.

How do you avoid hot roots?
You avoid them by dyeing the ends of your hair first. Then that on for 20ish minutes. Then put the dye on your roots and wait another 10-20 mins

edith rodriguez when u dye your hair it’s always better to just rinse your hair out NOT shampoo it . So I rinsed my hair off and put on conditioner and a hair masque ..

I wish I had your natural hair but what do you do when the middle part of your hair comes out a darker red than the rest ?
I would suggest putting a semi-perm red to try and blend it together. Or go to a salon honestly.
