What a lot is missing here is that it was at a food festival that loaves of bread was handed out for free at. Bread was being tossed around the crowd like beach balls and one or two pieces landed on the stage and he flipped out. No one was purposely throwing bread AT him. He was also very very intoxicated. - Hudba

Been in a band with a singer like this, it ruined the entire night every time. It was usually the sound guy who would catch most of the abuse, the singer would scream at him in the middle of songs, usually because he wasn’t happy with his monitor mix. Meanwhile the crowd would have to sing the rest of the song for him. Last gig I ever played with him, he threw his mic at the wall at the end of the set. It was not our mic, and the bouncer came up immediately, choke slammed him, dragged him outside where he broke a couple of his ribs for good measure. I feel for Smash Mouth, they just wanted to play the damn song but they have to put up with the singer’s meltdowns. Once is enough, but you let it slide because he’s a friend and partner and there’s a lot riding on it. But after it becomes a pattern, it’s time to move on.
I hope i don’t have to deal with someone like that on set cause i’d leave the band
