Man, you're one of the most relatable CZcamsrs I've ever found. I'm also quiet, shy, awkward, and struggle with talking and feel self conscious about my voice. Just so filled with anxiety in every way. I had an experience that was way too similar to this too, to the point its eerie and yours makes me want to cry. Even had the similar instance of crying and being escorted away from the eyes of the customers, except they locked me in a closet until I calmed down. I never made it out the training month, and I've been terrified of working ever since, because I'm terrified of this same thing happening. Now I'm just working for myself as a growing artist. You're a big inspiration at this point even though I've only just found your channel in recent weeks.

I was a cashier and there were time when I was having trouble with something and had trouble understanding the steps. I felt so pressured about doing everything right. I was yelled at by the guy who interviewed me and the customer showed concerns that she said, "he shouldn't be treating you that way." I told her that it was my fault for doing it wrong but then she responded, "it wasn't your fault for struggling and it doesn't give him the right to be mean."
I can imagine the look on the manager's face when she sees this video and realizes how accurate it was to how she treated one of her employees.
Also, about that one manager who almost *never* came in: how was she allowed to do that? From the way Wolfy framed it, it sounds like this manager was always at home for some reason. If anyone else never came in to work, they'd get fired eventually because well, they never show up.

I can actually relate to this a lot. When I get screamed at, I just end up crying and not able to talk cause of how upset I will be. This happens a lot to me when I also feel really overwhelmed and I feel like I'm breaking. But I'm glad that you left and that you were able to stay strong for so long!
Yeah same here I hate being yelled at even though when someone yelling at me I say to the parson back "Don't rise your voice at me." Calmly and clearly.
But I do tend to feel really hurt when someone yelling at me...
I am confident that if anyone was to ever upset Wolfy again, she could mobilize an entire army if she wanted to. I would be part of said army of course.

I agree that a restaurant business is VERY stressful. My mom and step-father are in it and month's ago, they would always fight and argue about work which made me have a low self esteem because when I wanted to talk to one of them they were either mad or busy. They are still in the restaurant business but, they work at another restaurant and it's now less stressful for them. ^w^

I often come back to this video for different perspectives in a workplace.
Fellow waiter here. For me, I learned that every time my supervisor has something to say about me and the things I do,
such as asking before redirecting customers or try to introduce the special dishes myself,
its actually him indirectly telling me the rules step by step so I can do better.
You *literally* learn from your mistakes. :)

Sounds like an awful experience. I too have experienced bullying in some form or other, in almost every job I’ve had, so I could relate. I’m also a very quiet and non-confrontational person. I try not to let any of it get to me, but it’s hard.
Right now things are fine, so I hope they stay that way.
You should have reported the restaurant due to poor management and abusive treatment to workers

Garbage people are everywhere. Sadly, many fail to realize that the world would be a better place if everyone just loved each other a little more.
Ha that reminds me the time my friend who we worked at walmart this dude was being disrespectful to my friend alex and needless to say i sucker punched with my keys this dude was the newbi so thought him lesson for being sexist he quit after that day.
it's multiple things that make a person who they are, but it's mainly the parents that need to influence the child to be his/her best in a just way, of course; but ultimately it's up to the kid who needs to make that decision to be in the right the way

when i watched this, i went to ask my mother who worked at several bars and gave her a similar event as you, she said that she could scold the rude employee and tell her to #### off. And if i even have a friend who got something like what you encountered i would do a bit of muck raking and call out the managers, firing the rude and lazy employees, and the manager who was irresponsible to enter the restaurant.

I'm so happy for you! ❤ I've been in two jobs that were like this and HR did not take my report of harassment in the workplace seriously. I knew that if it was not healthy for me, it was not worth working in an environment where it felt like everyone could put all their weight on me/expect me to pick up after them while they slacked off. If the workplace and the people you work for feels like high-school drama, run. 🏃🏽♂️

I keep all my angry thoughts in my head when someone’s yelling at me for no reason, sometimes I do cry cause I can’t keep it in. Then, they make fun of me for crying...so whenever I have a chance to escape the situation I take it
People have arguments with me too. I am too scared to say anything because if I do I will just get teamed up on and will eventually overcome me.

The thing is if you’re not confrontational in your work place, managers and coworkers will 100% walk over you and exploit you as well….being confrontational or being less introverted where things are unjust are necessary in any organisation tbh….and when you actually stand upto your managers with facts and business knowledge, they don’t have much to say, they actually begin to respect you a little. One should perhaps draw their boundaries before, boundaries which should not be crossed

I have that type of person too....
I relate to this a lot. I worked at a restaurant for two weeks (they fired me because I wasn't fast enough, even though they barely trained me) and at Walmart for three years (I could write a trilogy about how bad that was). That restaurant staff was terrible to me. Always telling me I was slow, even though I was still learning. I got scolded for having an anxiety attack during the Saturday night dinner rush, and one waitress kept acting like I was stupid, even going so far as to grab me by the wrist and pull me over to explain something, as if I was a brain dead toddler. I regret not smacking her for grabbing me. Your story reminded me of my terrible work stories, and I'm happy you're out of there and away from those horrible people.

This legitimately angered, me because I honestly can relate to you well I've never actually worked before I can tell you that getting yelled at being the quiet kid is very psychologically damaging, the shit happened to me a lot at school and I was never able to speak up for myself because of how shy I was, this is honestly one the biggest reasons as to why I hope I never have to work around people.

Mum and father were having an argument but father was being and I kid you not racist and sexist towards mum at this point I had enough marched all the way downstairs and WILL SMITHED the *%^# out of him knocking him to the ground I think I was 15 years old and he was 52 years I said to him and I kid you not again

There were a couple more fights some involving the police coming over and eventually father was kicked out of the house by court order and I’m glad he’s gone even though there is that he still cares about us yeah confusing anyways there were fights e.g mother and sister fights and at this point I would yell enough and try and stop the fights one time calling the police and mother had a bad childhood because of her former dad abusing her even though he still cared about her he died a few years ago and even when they met they fighting with each other for over 20 years and that’s my story

That seemed like a toxic workplace for you, and in some cases workplaces like that would be shut down. It's not right to treat a fellow worker or employee like that because everyone else would rather not do their jobs like they are supposed to, or the managers don't give the proper training because one doesn't show up at all while the other focuses more on pleasing themselves over the functioning of the workplace. I wonder if customers stopped coming after hearing about how toxic some of your employees were to you after that day. But I am glad that you are in a better place now.
If I was in that restaurant and I was older and I saw this happen I probably would have gotten up and smack that woman across the face and see how she likes it to be yelled at like that she doesn't deserve to have a worker as kind as you Wolfie you deserve better than that
