Very informative 👌
Glad you think so!
I just got a 3-wheeler - Honda ATC 250r,
Paddle recommendations for Glamis, mainly for duning and not really drag racing/hill shooting
Hi, check out the ITP Sand Star www.chapmoto.com/itp-sand-star-paddle-rear-tire-parent-337-0956
3 wheeler?! ☠️☠️☠️
I like paddle tires are more better and they do last longer for dunes riding trails and never gets bogged with right revs and they amazing for wheelies along da beaches and sand dunes are my favourite riding spot but sometime I go on dirt when I feel like it or not and I never show off front of people it's about having fun with paddle tires
Good to know! Thanks for watching our video Michael.
So I have a stock KRX 1000. Used to race Banshee’s and 250R’s in Glamis. Got old apparently and now have a SXS!
What tire set up would be the best for me in Glamis on my KRX? Also I may decide (I live in Colorado) to just use the same wheels or just get rear’s.
Hello, if you aren't planning on getting a specific sand set of tires (we'd recommend the System 3 SS360s,) the stock tires work adequately, just air down a bit for better performance.
I notice when he was weighting the all terrain and sand paddle he used a bead lock rim " which is heaver" on the all terrain and on the sand paddle a look like bead lock rim . Doesn't that make it a little bias review ?
Yes, technically we should have used the same wheels for all tires. Each tire brand wanted "their wheel" run on their tires... and so we did not weigh them unmounted as the wheel weight would not have been taken into account. We will work on a universal or neutral wheel to run when we perform our next test. Thank you for your comment. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Chunky tiers dig in to sand flat ones float on top.
Thanks for the insight.
if you remove 60 lbs of rotational mass it will make the car perform like you removed 180lbs from the car that is a big difference
That is HUGE!
wouldn't the paddles act like shovel though?
Hello, I get your point but they are intended to get your vehicle up and "floating" on top of the sand while propelling you forward.
Did anyone else notice the 2 tires were mounted to A rim but not the same rim?
Hi Mark, can you point out at what point in the video you are referring to? Thanks
You mean one tire was mounted to a bead lock rim, while the other was mounted to a traditional rim?
@@chaparralmotorsports I think he was saying when the tires were weighed, they weren’t mounted to identical rims, therefore the weight comparison had a variable, which skewered the results somewhat.
Awesome you totally skipped the V style pattern and what it does. Most not be your favorite
We'll work on getting it next time.
Skat trak or sand crafts, no reason to use other brands
What about SS 360 from system 3 off-road ? Do they have the same quality of skat Trak or sand crafts ?
@@afn7612 you wont get the same drive with those, never tried them but I can almost guarantee it. Also the buffed tires are the lightest
Jared Thompson thank you so much. Among the 2 brands you recommended which one is better for sand dunes ?
@@afn7612 either or sandcraft uses scat trak paddles they just have their own tire if you will. Sand craft has the option for non buffes side walls so a little bit more protection but honestly a lightweight tire like that will puncture buffed or not
They are bolts not screws
Yeah, he misspoke.
Yeah, I will give you that I guess. Mis- speaking in an air traffic control tower can cause a lot of problems.
No big deal.
No such thing as a "Rzr 1000 turbo" from the factory at least....
RZR maybe?
@@chaparralmotorsports the turbos are 925cc not 1000
Well... Polaris calls it a 1000... This is the official title or name of the 925cc car, Take a look *** Polaris.com | Polaris RZR® XP 1000 EPS | Performance for Any Terrain *** Specs : Cooling. @@chaparralmotorsports They do not call the TURBO a 1000. It's called the XP Turbo. The 1000 you linked is not turbo...
Okay gregrob20, Thanks for taking the time to call out my word slip. But the RZR XP vehicles do have a turbo.... even though not called out in the title. ProStar Turbo H.O.; 4-Stroke DOHC Twin Cylinder Turbocharged. Anyhow... thanks for watching! - Kyle
As soon as you said RZR Turbo1000 I stopped watching. They don't exist!
ok.
