It’s like helluva boss there are characters that curse a lot especially a imp from greed called blitz but there is this character called Stolas where when he curses it’s always censored.
That's basically the idea behind the South Park Movie.
I knew butcher and maeve was a one time thing but I am glad the writers actually make sense of it. You can see Maeve realized Butcher was the one man that actually understood her and how much she hated herself and supes.
Nah he didn't understand her, he was a bad boy and chicks like taming bad boys.
Nah it's about him reminding her of Homelander on a subconscious level. She's still not over those issues.
Maeve was borderline suicidal and found comfort in someone who hated her as much as she hated herself. It did work for the characters.

If they have any degree of maturity they tend to grow out of that phase in their twenties. The only grown women I know that love bad boys are the ones with their grandparents having custody of their kids or the ones that are single because it takes a borderline sociopath to handle them lmao.

Ngl, I love Butcher's rant to the support group, because he's completely right. I remember hearing the story about the guy who got his junk frozen and broken off but he still loved the sup that did it. I was wondering the same thing. Where's the rage, the anger, I mean you get your gear totally destroyed and the woman that did it, walks away Scott-free. Nah, I'd want some revenge
Yeah, but it's a believable response. If you are badly wronged by someone who is completely untouchable, you're stuck with a ton of pain and rage that most people can't manage. Most people react to that pain through nonsensical defense mechanisms. You have the people like Butcher who refuse to believe their targets are untouchable no matter the evidence. Often, like in the Boys, it turns out they aren't actually untouchable. If you don't have the strength to face the other person, you can also end up like these guys. You lie to yourself and desperately convince yourself that there was a good reason for everything to happen. This is how you get people who are hyper religious and abuse victims who blame themselves and desperately protect their abusers. It's like a sunk cost fallacy. You paid the price, so you feel like the only way you can bear it is if you paid it for a good reason. You also get people who turn around and vent their anger and hatred on people who don't deserve it, but who are much easier to hurt than the actual culprit.
Didn't turn out to well for butcher.

I'm not digging at you here, quite the opposite actually. Because i would expect that when women have to deal with the threat of sexual harassment/assault everytime they leave their homes, that it would very much the least funny thing in the world to you. This leads me to believe that the fault lies in our culture within media and societal norms/expectations in general. That through multifaceted events and perhaps an understandable yet still misbegotten fear/disdain for men and the possibilities within, we have as a society been conditioned to view both physical and sexual harassment or worse against men not only in a desensitized light, but also a comedic one.
