    Some small corrections:
    - All-Out-Attacks don't *always* remove the downed state, they just often do. You can still inflict dizzy sometimes with AoA's
    - Later on, you'll have many more Twilight Fragments, so you won't have to choose between unlocking chests and restoring SP

    Valkyrie is also a good pick for the priestess boss.
    Valkyrie can resist ice, can learn rakunda debuff as well as the tarakuja buff.
    Valkyrie can also hit all enemy’s with physical attacks if level up enough which will help when she begins summoning minions.

    A good tip to know is block one's drops from those smashable things contains HP restoring items, a little farming means you can rely on those rather than Dia, block two smashables have a chance at being SP items, meaning if you approach it right you never need to use the clock.

    What helped me a lot early game is most definitely the fortune teller, once you know what kind of golden hands and/or elites are like for the floors you plan on going to change your team to fit them!
    Most of the time though you can use a physical team comprising Junpei, Akihiko/Yukari, and Mitsuru with my respective preferences for their roles being all phys and weakness hits. Have Mitsuru always starting combat with Rakunda and Yukari can help with hitting phys abilities (Sukunda)/healing if you need that instead of Akihiko

    Pro tip: before opening the gate/barrier to the next section...
    Get fortune teller common gold enemy appearance at night club. Start at 15-20 floors below gate. Keep skipping floors until you see gold enemy icon on map. Battle it then skip floor, repeat until you reach the gate. Go back to floor 1, and repeat to get easy money (sell coin drop for 3k yen each encounter) and exp

    Physical Crit in this game is really good, I’m a P5 baby and wanted the dlc set so I tried using Kasumi’s since it didn’t seem too OP. Well into November at 61hrs and I’m still using her but added a few skills to help with crit.
    If low on cash always use the Rarity Fortune and keep skipping floors that you’ve explored that particular day and farm the golden hands for the drops. There’s also a Major arcana that increases drops from enemies and breakables. Rinse and repeat and you should be good on cash each month.

    A little scummy tip, as long as you're not in merciless difficulty, you can switch to peaceful and have the MC die and respawn entire team with max hp/Sp during a fight. Win the fight and switch back to desired difficulty. Sp is such a tease early on lol.
    Also if enemies are not doing enough damage to MC, keep using skills to drain hp like fatal end to drop his hp lower.

    I’ve noticed the level system is weird. The exp given doesn’t exactly scale to how much you receive for example, I needed 64 and I got 75 but didn’t level up and checked it and had only around 15% of what I got putting me at 54 exp to level up.

    • @artemkoropotkin3047

      @@artemkoropotkin3047 that’s definitely a great way to keep the party at a somewhat equal level, so they don’t fall far behind and the great clock thing also works wonders if you need benched characters to be your same level quickly without cheesing the reaper. Because let’s be honest cheesing the reaper is fun it can kinda kill late game stuff like gatekeepers and other stuff, as most bosses just go down pretty easy if you have characters at lvl 99 super early and have money to buy all the newer stuff from shops.

    Thanks for this! Would you recommend a first-time Merciless playthrough? I clocked in over 200 hours back in 2008 (my favorite Persona in the series) but I haven't played it since. I was playing Reload on Hard for a few hours last night and I did not find it too difficult at all. I will be utilizing a 100% guide my entire playthrough, as I don't have time for multiple playthroughs in my 30's. Your SP section of this video will come in great handy seeing how 100% walkthrough typically means 1 day of Tartarus, but I'd like anyone's thoughts on first-time Merciless!

    • @bainz
      @bainz  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hmm, if you don't have time for multiple playthroughs and you're fine with a bit of challenge, I think Merciless 1st playthrough is fine. The beginning of the game will definitely be the hardest, but once you get more party members and things like the Theurgy skills (like ShowTimes in P5R), it gets more manageable. You'd essentially beat everything the game has to offer in 1 run

    • @joeirl
      @joeirl Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@bainz Awesome, I appreciate your input. I did the same with my first (and only) playthrough in SMTV on Hard Mode and the beginning of the game (& Demi-Fiend) was ruthless, so I'm expecting the same with P3R. Lol!
      Keep up the P3R content. Your knowledge will come in handy for us all!

      @@joeirlI won't spoil the fun, in short the new addition and Theurgy make the game so much easier. Then party members got new kits and make some of them got crucial roles (i.e Ma-Kaja, Debilitate)...
      If you want some challenge maybe don't do something like "Grind and charge Theurgy before boss battles". This limit break type is kinda broken.

      @joeirl Před 4 měsíci

      @@veeshadow hmmm. I don’t recall what “theurgy” is. I don’t remember it being in Vanilla P3. Is it a new mechanic? Party members with new kits will be interesting though. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

    8:15 this isn't true anymore. With the new additions to reload there is a chance for your All Out Attack to inflict dizzy, but tue chance is quite low maybe 1 in 5 or 1 in 10. It is better to hit weakness again fro dizzy, but if you want to take the gamble an All Out Attack works too.

    I don't see why use the arcade for social stats, eating in the strip mall gives u the same amount of points as the arcade and is a lot more cheaper

    • @warbird333
      @warbird333 Před 4 měsíci +1

      I've been wondering the same thing. Restaurants seem more cost-effective than the arcade.
      It would only make if, IF the arcade had a chance of 3 points, but so far that doesn't seem to be the case, and no guide has suggested it's even possible.
      So why the push for the arcade from all these guides?

    • @spiderdude2099

      @@warbird333there are a few arcade games that give 3 stat points.

      @spiderdude2099 someone told me that he musical notes that appear are worth 1 or 2 points. Suggesting that three notes is either worth 5-6 points or 3-6 points.
      Do you know anything about that?

    • @spiderdude2099
      @spiderdude2099 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@warbird333 I don’t know the exact point breakdown, but 3 musical notes is the max and there is one game at the arcade that gives the highest boost for one of the stats.
      Zombie survival shooter game: 3 courage points
      Dating sim game: 3 charm points
      Quiz show game: 3 academic points
      So the arcade DOES have the single most potent way to level stats. These games are not always offered tho. You have to check to see if they are. And they’re expensive to play

    • @kaelmato
      @kaelmato Před 4 měsíci

      Don't know how exactly points are calculated in reload, but for instance in royal the number of notes wasn't the amount of points you're actually getting, they're only there to give the player an estimate how much the stat is growing.
      So 2 notes in one activity doesn't necessarily equal 2 notes in another activity.
      Could be a similar case here.

      @@fuck_youtube_handles you must be new to the series lol the game locks behind missable content and rewards because of the daily life options. A guide helps you make the right choices to max out social links and 100% the game instead of replaying it multiple times

    • @TrvisXXIII
      @TrvisXXIII Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@fuck_youtube_handles mainly max ranking social links and social stats. In this game you actually break bonds if you say the wrong thing.
