Jimmy Cliff is wonderful. Please do "Sitting In Limbo" or "Rivers Of Babylon." I love his album "The Harder They Come."

Still prefer Johnny Nash's original version but that's that not taking anything from Jimmy Cliff. Early reggae and its predecessor ska was so creative and catchy, fun music with a message.

Song meaning? I read that Johhny wrote this song after becoming sober. The rain is metaphorically for the addiction. Sunshine is for sobriety. I love a good meditation session myself. It got me through some rough times.

Johnny Nash did the original and it became a national hit in the USA in 1972

Johnny Nash, this song’s originator, died today. Why didn’t you review the original song. That would have been a nice memorial.

I like Johnny Nash's version a little better, but Jimmy Cliff's is awesome as well. Enjoyed your reaction. Another of Jimmy's biggest hits was "Many Rivers to Cross" and I'd love to hear your reaction to that.

I'm like you Kirti, I always look on the bright side in life and I try to shine every single day! What a hard life it must be to carry the dark clouds on your shoulders. Great reaction, this was a good version but not the original.
