Knot number 2 is certainly strong and secure. But, I don't think the others are particularly strong. In addition, it is dangerous to tie the rope so that it leaves almost no end of the rope. It's a bad example.

Interesting video Tom. Sold my Fjallraven tents including this one. Some of the issues shared across the range. The safety labels attached to the inner are a flappy pain as well as condensation magnets. The toggles and rings for attaching the inner and footprints are too tight to use out on the hill. Head height always feels 5-10cm too low especially compared to Hilleberg. The fabric is much lighter weight - especially the bathtubs. I love lots of Fjallraven products but the tents just aren’t Hillebergs.

What is the main purpose of knots 1 and 2? I use the bowline, family of eights, alpine knot , square knot a lot and have never had an issue.
Lol, then why are you even concerned about the knots? You do your preferential knots and let others learn new techniques.

Надо заменить "Отлично! " на "Ну такое!." Калмыцкий , вяжется гораздо быстрее . По 2 му и 4 тому - ну логично наплели, ну молодец автор, через это все проходят когда увлекаются узлами без практики . Но! Правило что узлы не должно "вести" при больших нагрузка никто не отменял! Последний узел для связывание двух концов- то же какая та переработка известного морского. Посмотрите узле "трансформатор" там все без бантиков работает и развязывается. В общем - обычно дело, увлекся человек узлами и его "прет" от того как много вариантов соединения верёвок бывает. Беда в том что не все простое гениально. И работать желательно с проверенными узлами их той же "Библии узлов" Эшли, на все случаи жизни хватит.
1 - конский, он же калмыцкий, он же бурятский уэел. Только неумело и неловко завязаный.
