A highlight song of 2023 for me and a lot of us here. When I first heard it, I identified 90s style chords (think Zombie by Cranberries). But this quickly becomes a great song on its own. As good a song about sexual assault as Oblivion, if not better. And also this year, we got Ice Cream Man from Raye.

Maybe this is twisted but this whole video just makes me nostalgic for the better moments of my troubled childhood. Wandering around the junk strewn forest with feral girls, plotting revenge against child abusers. We were never violent. We just loved each other too goddamn much not to dream about getting even. I was born transgender, but the Catholic Church turned me an into anarchist and I won't let them forget that. I've never felt safe anywhere else but in the arms of other pissed-off broken kids. Blondeshell is rapidly becoming my new favorite drug.
The state where I live just passed a law that states if kids confide in a teacher that they are trans, the teacher must, by law, inform the parents. Do people understand nothing of the struggle?
