Note: I recently learned that in another interview, Kanye debunked the stories of him crying when he was rejected. According to Kanye, that was something that Time Magazine took out of context.
Please do Michael Jackson - Thriller album. A HUGE INSPIRATION to everyone, especially those who inspire us now!
Michael Stubbs we need Off The Wall and Bad as well
DO JAY-Z ALBUMS THATS ALL I ASK NEXT HIM AND KANYE ARE SO IMPORTANT TO THE CULTURE AND THEY BOTH HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE PERSONALLY AND ALSO MANY OTHERS..

Ik that your favorite kanye album is yeezus. Thats proof that i watch your videos
what song is this from i can’t remember
NFKRZ really pulled up
I'm convinced Jamie Foxx has told that Kanye story like 20 times at this point
I mean, it did change his life. In a lot of ways, Jamie was just like Kanye at that point. Jamie was trying to break into the music industry too, but no one really wanted to back him seriously. They wanted him to just stick to acting. The song he did with Kanye showed him how to switch up his style and eventually pave the way for his music career.
True. It's still always fun to listen to.
And still it never gets old.
And it never gets old, just like the Mike Tyson story, just shows how good of a storyteller Jaime is
rich369963 wish he would’ve pursued music more though I feel like he could’ve went down as one of the greats cause he’s an amazing vocalist. Definitely loved Slow Jamz, Gold Digger and Blame It On The Alcohol though
These Kanye videos are the greatest thing ever.

If you ever feel like you're doing too many Kanye Videos,
You're WRONG.
Thank you for always putting 100% in your videos, it's always a pleasure to see a new video from you.

I'm about to listen to this album for the next couple days now lol
i love how i saw this comment while scrolling down and he just said it in the vid
This was so good, made me emotional because it's hard to think about what hip hop would've been without kanye west. WAKE UP MR WEST
Glad im not the only one. This album meant so much to me as a teenager and to see how many times he was rejected while at the same time still believing himself in a project that spoke to my soul just choked me up
I always get some goosebumps when I heard Trough the wire and I imagine what would have happened if he hadn't been in the accident
What does "wake up Mr West" even mean?
@@MrCHI2cool In the Intro to Late Registration a guy talks about Kanye and at the end he shouts "Wake Up Mr. West"
@@furkankabadayi693 I know. But contextually that doesn't even make any sense.
Dont let the Controversies distract you from the fact that Kanye West is a hip hop legend. Respect him!
NO CAP!!!
Always... Can't nothing stop his SHINE.
as true today as it was 3 years ago
Yall caught when he said he was bipolar from his FIRST ALBUM that's kind of nuts
we shoulda paid more attention to that lmao
Kanye divides rap history in two eras - before and after Kanye debut. On 10th February 2004 he changed this genre forever. He paved a way for Drake, Migos and other singers-rappers. Hip-hop is not associated only with gangsters and drug dealers any more thanks to him.
That was 4 days after i was born
Nor was it before him. The golden age era of hip hop in the late 80s. Not much violence in those songs.
You forget OutKast wasn’t gangsta rap

Kanye a genius, idc about his political thoughts, the man is a mastermind.
I think he has good ideas he just struggles with how to express them sometimes
@74kjohnson hes the first artist to actually break away from the elitist opinions, and you niggahs still cant figure that out

It's fucking insane and inspirational how Kanye just KNEW, he fucking KNEW he was going to become not only a rapper but a rapper of the highest caliber. That kind of passion, skill, and confidence is nearly unparalleled.
Kanye’s life is a living best selling autobiography
Last Call was probably his best song ever.. He literally tells his whole story! He stayed persistent and he got signed! My favorite rapper of all time
Not only that..... That beat is a road trip instrumental. I can play that over and over and over.
Gio Incredible I just played it the other day!
@@teddyrubskin54 Right? I usually never put tracks on my playlist that have talking bits like that but that one just grooves. Add to it that its entertaining as all hell. lol
@@thakaptin2043 Indeed, it's entertaining.
One of my favorite joints! the original beat was actually produced by Evidence (of Dilated Peoples) for Jay z (the mr Rockefeller sample) but Kanye said “nah I’m the new Rockefeller” and kept it for himself.
The lyrical content on "The College Droupout" is easily the greatest lyrically of all Kanye's album. It was all truth, fire, and high level of genius. It wasn't about "Bitches, drugs, and guns", it was real.
Also Late Registration got some real lyrics
Especially on “All Falls Down”
I think you forgetting about a couple of tracks lol. The album gets real as hell but hes also got tracks like Get Em High, Breathe In, Breathe Out, New Workout plan, etc. that embrace the money and hoes side of things lol
@@ChrisJProductionz Jesus walks as well and two words too
Especially on Get em High
I can't even imagine how the music world would be nowadays if Kanye died in that car accident. He changed it game so many times. Its unimaginable
I’m kinda sad that it’s taken me this long to discover the genius that is Kanye. I can’t imagine how crowded his mind must be.
There is no era of Kanye that I really hate, even ones like Yeezus or TLOP (though The Life of Pablo continues to grow on me) though not my favorites. Bring something SOOOO interesting even if it doesn't quite work for me. The college dropout story always inspires me and I can't wait for you to tackle Late Registration. These videos on Ye are always a treat.
TLOP is great. It aged so well.
Thank you for this! *I MisS ThE OlD KaNyE* sentiments never settle with me well . I honestly loved TLOP, I was in Madison square garden at the listening party . I won tickets in new York from a complex video . it was amazing .

The Most Unruly where is that version of through the wire behind the speech?
“Everybody wanted to know what I would do if I didn’t win.
...Guess we’ll never know.”
Coming here after Ye’s Netflix documentary. Kanye really put everything into his first album, it was years in the the making. It must have been excruciating for him to be knocking on doors and get rejected, especially after his car accident. He made/funded the MV of Through The Wire himself with his friends with makeshift equipments. It’s just mind blowing!
Its funny cause we already knew the whole college dropout story this just made it 100 times better
Kanye west is top 2 artist ever and he's not 2 🔥
Alex Quezada thought you had one but it’s Not one, nigga nah

Here we go again…gotta go listen to this legendary piece of work again
I met Kayne in 2017 in New York. He was actually crossing 45th around 10pm by himself. It was very weird. He was just crossing the street and what came out my mouth was "Kanye you suck"!! He stopped, looked up and said "Fuc you, You mad cause you ain't me"!! ..... It's dope looking back at it now. 😂
Thank you for making us realize and truly appreciate Kanye’s greatness through these dialogues

Being from Chicago, this is the type of aggressive attitude and wok ethic you have to have to get far in life. For some odd reason we always feel like we're fighting our way out of the city to something greater and it often does happen. This video just lit a fire under me. I was so down and uninterested in what i was doing the last week and THANK YOU, thank you for doing this video. I'm ready to starting smashing it again. Thank you.
