IMO it’s time to let Partey go. And this is with all due respect to him. In the games he’s shone, he was immense. The replacement’s main criteria IMO is availability. He doesn’t need to be at TP’s level just yet but he does need to be available and have a strong recovery work ethic. Hard to predict with injuries but IMO the recruitment folks need to make their best educated bet. With Elneny also likely to go, TP would be too expensive wages wise to have him take Elneny’s role. I think MA has it in him to take someone unfavoured and turn him into a gem within a squad like Klopp did with Robertson etc.
I’m apprehensive about Kimmich because he’s combustible. As is he’s already had bust ups with teammates, Tuchel etc. If he joins, will he want to listen to MA? Is he willing to drop away from the thinking that’s so used to the leverage the Bayern “old boys” (with Neuer, Muller etc.) have over coaches? MA has already fallen out with Auba, Ozil, Ainsley etc.

They're absolute clowns who've become agenda driven characters rather than real people who are genuine fans. They planted their flags of being Arteta out from day 1 and have refused to update their opinions, partly because they've become characters on social media who act like they know better than everyone else, and their opinion is always the correct one so when we're winning they say nothing but if we lose a single game they use that opportunity to have their time in the sun, to remind everyone that they've always been Arteta out, that they are right, and that they will be proven right. Ultimately their agenda is more important than the success of the club, they're a toxic part of the fanbase.

Because Jorginho is confirmed to be leaving I would rather lose Partey on a free in summer 2025 than have to replace both this summer. We should still pursue someone like Zubimendi or Guimaraes this summer, it would only mean our midfield depth would be even greater next season, and we get to see more of the fabled Rice-Partey-Odegaard midfield next season.
I don't think anything definitive is out yet, but I agree that losing them one at a time might be preferable, even if that means a hit in fees received.
