- Well, I recently started collecting VHS tapes, and posted about it on IG. Since then, I have been bombarded with requests for a video with these! Most of these are Disney, but some are DreamWorks, & some are just cartoons I like. I plan to make a second part to this one, with regular VHS movies.
The day I filmed this, it was raining (it still is, and will be for the next 4 days)...so there are parts of this video that have loud and clear rain sounds in the background, and there are other sections where you cannot hear it as much.
I'm trying to lose weight, mainly from this medication I'm taking. I'm working on it! As soon as I am in a healthy spot, I'll get back on the role-plays and the true crime cases on my second channel.
And a little update about the podcast: I have been working diligently to make sure there are sufficient episodes before I release any more. Creating them in batches like this is gonna help me be more consistent for you!

Fun fact: the last major Hollywood movie released on VHS was "A History of Violence" in 2006.

Here's another fun fact: In the early 2000s, some movies were released on D-VHS. Those were HD, 1080i VHS tapes. They could hold up to 50GB of data. The last movie released on that was iRobot. They could be bought as blank tapes also and on the lowest quality recording, you could put 40 hours of video on them.

i thought andy was boring and unrelatable as a kid D: it was more of a movie for boys with the action figures and army pieces and dinosaur etc. i loved the pig though

i remember we had the vhs rewinder in shape of a car. i would just plug it in and it would rewind the movies and the car lights would turn on. that was awesome to me.

Loved this! Lion King 2 is actually an excellent sequel!!! The first song makes me cry EVERY TIME. I’m one of those people that thinks there’s NOTHING that compares to Lion King. Even with that said, the sequel is excellent. As far as Air Bud, the original one is actually the dog playing basketball after a boy finds him abandoned and earns his trust. It’s pretty cute. Happy watching!
Cannot say I recommend Air Bud, or its sequel, Air Bud: Golden Receiver (which you are in possession of) to an audience of grown-ups.
The Rescuers, however, and its sequel, The Rescuers Down Under, are both wonderful.

That's awesome to see! We have a bunch of VHS tapes.. Some we want to give away but charities (thrift stores) won't take them and say they're skip worthy!! Such a shame because I bet someone out there still watches them! Anyways so we decided to keep them but no one sells VHS players anymore.. Only those dual dvd and VHS players that they want £20 upwards for :( such a shame, just want a cheap VHS player to watch some classics again!
We used to get VHS players from car boot sales but half the time when we got them home they were broken :(

I used to have a lot of VHS casettes, but I threw them all away maby a year ago due to shortage of shellspace! I have repurchased most of them on DVD anyways! I love Disney so much! The little mermaid is my all time favorite! A redhead just like me! Thank you for a tingly and relaxing video!

Weird how America only uses clam shell cases for movies but the UK/AU etc. use clam shell cases all the time for pretty much every VHS.

Only the 1980 Rental-only and 2006 Disney Movie Club-exclusive VHS tapes are worth over $500!
God I feel very old here. When I saw The Parent Trap, Hayley Mills played the little girls!
The problem with those old VHS tapes wasn't the lesser image and audio quality. It was the fact that they butchered the aspect ratio to make the movies fit into our old 4 x 3 televisions. If VHS is to make a comeback, those old movies will have to be re-released in the correct aspect ratio and enhanced to fit our widescreen TVs.
I remember many afternoons in the car with my mom on the way home from school, listening to the Pocahontas soundtrack on repeat and weeping. I was a very sensitive child lmao
