Our car has winter tires on & it was a beast...got through the snow with little resistance. Other cars in our neighbourhood- Hubs helped push cars out & another helper told one owner who attempted to drive with summer tires “when I get you out, go home and stay there”.

@@rob9995 oh I lucked out that I live off of a major bus route (3 bus routes drive down Sun Valley Blvd) & some energetic person-possibly with a snow blower, cleared 3/4 of a length of sidewalk towards the bus stop otherwise it would’ve taken me 20mins to trudge through the snow to that stop that takes 5mins to get to. Just sheer luck. I usually have the bus not show up, or be late & that is on regular days! I was amazed it came on time! Earlier, 3 buses had “incidents” on one road into our neighbourhood & it was blocked off for a while so my expectations where low.
At work the management bought everyone who showed up Subway subs, just to thank us for showing up! They did this for all 3 shifts...our crew only 15 out of the 22 minimum needed to run the place, arrived. A replacement coworker took 2hrs to get there because she only had all seasons tires & got stuck numerous times.
BTW the political figure that lived in our neighbourhood moved & quit politics so none here right now.

There are a lot of snow in Calgary’s back alleys and the city don’t clear it. This needs to CHANGE because the residents in the back alleys are taxpayers and they need snow removal services. If residents stuck there, how they can come to other roads the city is clearing.
Every resident of Calgary who parks their cars in back alleys, please contact to your councilor and the city and ask for snow removal policy change in back alleys.

Meanwhile hardworking taxpayers are trying to get to work, providing they still can....but the roads remain nearly impossible to navigate with the average vehicle for weeks! I though we were forward thinking and trying to get people back to work, but clearly it has become painfully obvious what priorities are more important.
