  • Review of the S&W M&P 10, and UUQ scope. Also, do you need to fork out a lot of cash for a good scope? Can you get by with a cheaper scope? Yes and no.

For those who may be wondering, I have had the M&P out a few more times. I'm happy to report... no more failure to lock open on the last round, and no more jams or misfeeds. I sighted it in at 100 yards, but still plinking steel no problem at 50. I've kept the UUQ scope... it really does seem to be accurate and hold zero. I removed the reflex sight which I was not a fan of and replaced with a totally different red dot. So the scope itself is fine if you can handle the "blurryness" after about the 10th power (though as mentioned in the video, I rarely use the higher power settings on scopes so for my purposes I don't need it.)

I have one. And love it. Only failure I had was with Lehigh control chaos. Hollow point so big getting jammed trying to enter the camber. Steel cased no problem. Now I use barnes for hunting meat.

If you can hit anywhere in an 8" target, you've got a kill. Not every one is a sniper but, for self defense, perfect...

They changed the barrel, apparently. Mine's a pencil barrel.
    It also hates light loads.

Ryan J, I have no idea if they changed it or not. The barrel on this one, purchased this year looks good to me and not a pencil barrel. Thanks for the comment.

This is the sport version. 16” barrel. The “pencil barrel” your thinking of is the 18” version. To my understanding that one came out first.

My Grandfather told me when I was a kid if you have 500 for a rifle and scope. get a cheap rifle and a good scope. The best gun in the world can't hit a deer with shifty glass.

I don't use them, but I've had some comments about them. So maybe I'll slap it back on and make a vid just for that maybe?

Is it FFP or SFP ? I have no idea i got it today and i dont know what to put in my strelok pro .

    • @northdakotaplinking9794

I believe it is SFP. Reticle stays the same no matter the magnification.

@@northdakotaplinking9794 i think the reticle changes according to the magnification . But i will check it more

@@truthspeaker2062 Hmmm thanks for the idea... may have to make a video on that. FFP the reticle changes... SFP reticle does not change. SFP is more common with hunting scopes, lower budget scopes etc. Just looked through my UUQ today... reticle did not change with magnification. I compared that with my Arken SH-4 which DID change with magnification. That's a higher end scope.
