Growing up I can remember being 6 years old when the movie Titanic came out. Coupled between the movie Gettysburg I would say that I've spent hundreds, perhaps even a thousand hours watching both films on 2 set VHS tapes. Very fascinating to say the least of which, Ft. Sumter and the Titanic forever are linked with the day April 14th. Thank you for sharing this wonderful discussion about history.
Also would mention, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14th as well.

Great presentation, I would just like to correct one thing. Archibald Gracie didn't die on the Titanic. He survived on overturned collapsible boat B and was picked up by the Carpathia. He died in December of 1912 from complications of diabetes. I've read his book of his Titanic account. It's amazing.
