Fun facts:
- Bruce, the singer, in 2016 had throat cancer (as you can hear successfully removed)
- Nicko, the drummer, had a partial ictus in 2023 (idk if before this tour or the next), fan noticed he didn't play his classic rullante at drums
Yes, wasted years is about they're World Slavery Tour (1984/85), where they played 190 dates in 11 months.
At the end obviously they were drowned...
Adrian Smith said this song is a message to the listener to stop worrying about the time wasted in the past and instead focus on the present and the future that awaits. Nothing to do with the world slavery tour. I was at that tour on the 15th and 16th of September 84 at Newcastle upon Tyne City Hall.

The message is the one you're telling, but in the song he talks about "World Slavery Tour".
The song talks also about alienation and homesickness, feeling the long tour gave them.

No, the song's tempo is originally like this; medium, but maybe a slightly slower than the original here
@osamaqtaitat yes but in the past they played it a little bit faster which u suppose happens in the live situation

@@brucedickinson12 i think they slowed down all their songs on this tour, as live Nikko likes to speed them up a bit, but Nicko had recently had a stroke and was still recovering.
Nicko had a stroke early in the year before this tour and unfortunately wasn't 100%. Amazing that he could still be drumming this good though.
