Epic interview. Agree with the other commenters that you guys are role models for how to age well.
As far as the whole topicals vs oral argument, you both make good points, in my case my loss was even more aggressive (very receded at 19 years old) and now at 27 I have a really full head of hair thanks to oral minoxidil and dutasteride, and can’t imagine trying to roll the dice by switching over to topicals.
I tolerate them well (as do most people), you can’t beat the convenience factor, and they are dirt cheap ($15 per month combined for generics). I can go through life now without ever thinking about hair loss, but all of this is still very interesting to me.
And as a side note I think there is some general anti aging effect with these medications. The minoxidil for example has also thickened my eyebrows and lashes, and although I can’t prove this there seems to be a positive effect from suppressing dht on general skin/facial aging. Others have notes this as well.
In my late teen years I was always told that I looked older while today people tell me that I look much younger than my age.
The jaw implant looks good, did he get a nose job too?
