As a former New Orleanian, I wasn’t at all surprised when the populace failed to recall the pitiful excuse for a mayor we have there. You can’t save people who don’t want to be saved.
Unfortunately Democratic run city's like New Orleans and Chicago,ect,ect will only get more and more dangerous.

I met the Mayor years ago when she was a Councilwoman. She’s arrogant and above reproach (in her mind), that’s a dangerous combination.
God forbid someone actually holds these large city mayors accountable for their inaction on rampant out of control crime

Senator John Kennedy has the down home common sense and intelligence that I wish all our politicians had.
When Sen Kennedy said it was safer to walk down the streets of Mogadishu. It reminded me of something I did many years ago. When I returned from Vietnam and honorably discharged. I saw many things happening in this country that would make anyone feel unsafe. So I found myself standing in a recruiters office after a short break in service. Make a long story short I told him I wanted to reenlist. He asked me why? That's when I said I feel safer in a firefight with my brothers than I do on the streets of my home town. I had not been out that long and there were some things I wanted. Conditions. I got them and in less than 30 days later I was stationed in the 2nd Infantry Division Korea.
Why have investigators if a certain group of people committing 99% of the crimes aren't getting investigated?
New Orleans residents voted for this. They got the Mayor and City Council they deserve. It’s a shame, but hey, Waller in it y’all!
This is breaking my heart. Senator Kennedy is such a gentleman. But even he knows crime is winning in the great city of New Orleans. He’s begging for the mayor to do the right thing.
