Amber don't worry about room decor. Start with the furniture basics u know you want - bed, desk, seating, storage. Think about what works practically in the small room and also colour/style cohesion. THEN once you see the basic essentials together and you go out / online shopping you'll see decor items you like and then slowly see a pattern emerge. Definitely DON'T be too impulsive, but also don't be afraid to get things (especially expensive ones) when you know you need them. But CHECK REVIEWS wherever you can even for the randomest items just so any practical issues aren't a surprise. Don't hesitate to get rid of things you don't like or want anymore - donate or sell it all!! Dont stress it, u got this!! -from someone who's moved and decorated a bedroom from scratch like 5 times in 5 years

yesss the furniture and layout of the room is so important, decor comes later, and its good to remember you'll find and collect more things as you live there so you don't need to fill the room 100% immediately, definitely check reviews when buying online, buying stuff in person is good too because then you can feel it/sit on it/measure it etc, good luck excited for this new era!!!

I live with my big sister too. She bought an apartment with a room for me. Its the best thing ever I hope we stay like this forever. We have had a few spats here and there but its easy to get along when you can have 1000% trust nothing they do is MEANT to hurt you. You can always work it out from here. It is always miscommunication, we only want to understand each other.

hi amber, just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. i always watch your channel and ashley's channel because i love how close-knit your family is. i have an older sister too and our traumatic childhood made us closer (my family has always been kinda dysfunctional).. i've always followed whatever she did because i look up to her. unfortunately and fortunately, my sister got to "escape" and moved halfway across the globe to study her undergrad. she hasn't been living with us for the past 3 years and i miss her even tho she can be a little hard to be around because of her personality and she also finds me annoying xD but that's what i think is really special about siblings. the history yall share cannot be replicated elsewhere. you get used to the quirks of the other person. i just started my 1st year of undergrad in a local uni and i've been thinking of moving in with her after i graduate if she's not married by then. but my future career requires a license plus work experience that i need to get locally before i can go anywhere blah blah.. but basically, i'm glad that your video let me see into my future.. or even if it never gets to happen, i get to see someone else live my dream :")
