  • In this video I explore how we can use the Hapax with Eurorack in a playful way.
    The Hapax is fun to integrate with any eurorack hardware, but also a nice way to have a hybrid between with both CV and Midi.
    For this video I chose to use the powerful Percussa SSP to be able to demonstrate both the cv and midi capabilities of Hapax. Later I introduce Frap Tools USTA (sequencer) and Rample to further cv possibilities of the Hapax.

    Wow this will go perfect with my SSP. I like the way you explained everything. Makes you just want to go out and buy one and experiment with the many options that has internally. Almost does too much. I'm still learning the SSP,,,, it may take me a while to venture onto a new piece of gear like this LOL

      its complex, but actually very simple to use...
      of course, in these videos I want to show 'everything', since different users have different requirements...so perhaps comes across a bit more overwhelming when so many things are thrown at you in one go ;)

    Thank You for this demonstration. I'm Thinking to replace all my eurorack sequencers with hapax and a midi to cv, because I need more gates for drums. I love to have my session under control of one sequencer but I've never found something that fully satifies me. Lack of polyphony, lack of chance operations, fiddly user interface... every sequencer I've tried is limited in some ways.
    Hapax seems to have everything I need.

    This is really great! Thanks so much for sharing it. I'm struggling to get CV In into CVIn2 working, as you are doing at 26:26. I Clocking just fine, but just cant see any CV action. I don't suppose you have any tips?! Thanks much, P

      Hmm not sure … I’d check you don’t have cv in allocated to something else ( eg clock)
      Also double check you have cv and gate in correct inputs… as iirc, gate is used to sample and hold the v-oct input. So having them wrong way round will mean you see nothing. Also check voltage range in settings.

    Thanks for sharing, Why are the top 3 rows constantly lit up while in step mode?

    • @TheTechnobear
      @TheTechnobear  Před 2 lety +1

      because I set the project scale to pentatonic, so its shows all the intervals on one page = 5/8.
      you can of course, use this not bound to a scale ... then all notes are present on the grid (as rows)
