You can buy tubes at just about any music store or online store like ams or tubestore ect. I dont do audio compsrisons over yt because most cant tell through a video snyway. You will hear things differently and everyone records using different mics and speakers bla bla bla. Best to buy a few suggested tubes and start to see what YOU like.
No I can't really answer that one. I never noticed when I had the thing open if it is all digital sensor for the pedal or an analog pot inside. Either way it's probably a bad sensor or pot or a loose wire inside.
Great video. I have one since 2006 I think. But at the time when I tried to do an firmware update it got stucked. Maybe you know how to fix the problem?
@ I´ve been there man, my RP20 got bricked and stayed that way for a long time, while trying different computers, midi interfaces, etc....until I tried doing the upgrade with a very old pc and a soundblaster (real one, Creative brand) ISA soundcard and it worked like a charm. These old devices need old computers to update, they can´t keep up with today´s technology speed!! Hope that helps!

How does this unit compare to the rack counterpart? Delay and Reverb spillover?
I’ve heard these units are basically the 2120 in a floor unit. The racks ha two tubes. I used to have a 2101.

You can find the manual on the net I suggest getting it because these units are extremely complex.

I tried to do upgrades to it but it won't communicate properly. I would try to do a reset. Also there is a battery inside which may be dead.

There is a type not a number.12ax7 is the type. Any brand will work.
