- Like the last video I want to show connections between the MCU shows and films and connect them together since they’re so loosely connected. This time a reference to the first Avengers movie in Jessica Jones, which they refer to as “The Incident”.

I feel the same way about other street-level heroes before the Avengers became an established team. I like to think that those who use their gifts for better or worse (people like Matt Murdock, Jessica Drew, Marc Spector, Eric Brooks, etc) were doing something on the day of the invasion.

@@stunnaremy Matt wouldn't have done much as he can't fly. Jessica was working a series of dead end jobs and didn't do anything superheroic until right before she met Kilgrave in 2014. Luke Cage may not have even had his powers in 2012 and even if he did he was keeping them hidden and living as a bartender until 2015. Danny Rand spent 2012 in K'un L'un, and Frank Castle is way too messed up to do anything other than kill human bad guys. So none of them would have participated in the Incident. Matt and Luke might have saved some people from collapsed buildings, but that's the most that any of them can have been involved.

you can say that Matt was still with the law firm he was interning at before he and foggy created their own law firm. Frank was at war in Iraq, they can say that Cage was at Seagate at the time or maybe he was there. For Jessica Jones, it can be said she was doing something

It was also subtly mentioned in Daredevil whenever the scene is in Ben Urich's office and even when Karen took over his office, Ben wrote the article for "The Battle of NY". We see the newspaper on a frame behind their desks everytime.

Combing back through the netflix clips after NWH. To be honest, I want them to redeem Iron Fist in the next Shang Chi movie. And if he became a main character, I feel like it would help recontextualize the dragon and mystical stuff at the end of Shang Chi since most people felt it was unnecessary. Doing Iron Fist would hit two birds with one stone.

It would be fantastic to see them return, but recently I haven’t been very fond of the modern MCU for its tone which differs vastly from the Netflix shows and I’d hate to see them made lighter by Disney.
And now that Daredevil has been confirmed to reappear in the MCU, expect characters from the other Netflix shows to reappear along with Agents of SHIELD and the rest of Marvel Television's output (barring Inhumans, Helstrom and the X-Men related shows).

@@othousand9589 I'm guessing it's from Feige's comment about the new batch of MCU Disney+ shows interlinking with the movies for the first time (which doesn't even mention AOS or the Netflis shows but neither does it outright declare them non-canon). None of this has stopped Feige from being potentially interested in using them for future MCU projects.

They'd need to either get Finn Jones to get serious about his martial arts training and redeem himself in the eyes of the fans, or recast the role. His acting was okay (though many of the line and scene choices were cringe-inducing visually . . . white dude shows up in a dojo, dishonors the sensei, then starts lecturing her . . . almost any other tack in that scene would have been better). There's a lot of ill will toward him for things that were his fault (skimping on training requiring jump-cut heavy bad looking fight scenes being the worst) and things that weren't (bad writing and some ill-thought-out scenes). He'd have an uphill struggle to get out of that hole.
I think Luke Cage and Iron Fist should appear in Echo.

Problem is marvel need to realise that you need street lvl heroes in there. Cause it’s not always about super villain, or evil organisation, or alien invasion. Sometimes you need to save people from an accident, you need to stop a mugging, show that it’s not always about grand big picture, show them helping a little man. Cause let’s be honest was there any movie that shows street lvl superhero? None and I don’t count Spider-Man mofo was in space and we had like 5 minutes of him actually on patrol. There’s hope that it will change now with his soft reboot but still.
Till this day train scene from Spider-Man 2 was the best example of hero devoted to his citizens on personal level. And it’s still the best. Everything that happened in MCU didn’t even come close in that regard

I never understood the logic here; even if Jessica was involved with The Avengers, they saved the city and the world… it’s heartbreaking that this (crazy) woman had to watch her mother die but I think it’s very immature to think that you can save everyone. The Avengers tried their best to avoid civilian deaths but there were fucking aliens raining out of the sky and there were only six of them and half of them (a third if you consider Iron Man super) didn’t even have superpowers…
I love this woman's logic. She's expecting that 6 people can be everywhere in a large city of 8 million.

About 30 seconds later in the same scene, Jessica makes a comment like "My family died in a car accident, but you don't see me going after every shitty driver." That's really the point here.

They are definately canon, continued NY references and also The Avengers were fighting in Sokovia against Ultron during this time period.
This was a main plot point in Civil War and it never made any sense to me.
The alien invasion was coming with or without the avengers and if the avengers weren’t there New York would have been and still be in a way worse position than it is, as well as the entire world. It’s like if a country was invaded by another country and the civilians got mad at the military for fighting off the invasion, it makes no sense.

But also they had multiple people to blame too, besides the avengers and people with super powers in general. And it doesn’t even make sense to blame “gifted” people now that I think about it. Like half of the avengers don’t fall into the same category as Jessica Jones. Thor is a god so he doesn’t count, Hawkeyes just a marksmen, black widow is advanced but not too crazy, and Tony’s in a suit that he made. This really feels more like a plot suited for the X-men than the avengers.
There was also the issue with Ultron, which was created by Tony and Bruce.
The fact that Matt Murdock is back in mcu should mean the other guys are cannon as well.

I would love if they would only be used as supporting characters in the MCU and instead just revive the Netflix shows and just say that it's an alternate universe.
No believe me, I’m totally with you on that. With Disney now heavily involved in these movies, and with how the recent films have been, I really don’t think they’ll do these characters justice.

There's talks of Disney soon to allow mature content on D+. They own too many IPs it would be a dumb business decision to never let TVMA and R movies on their platform. I just hope they do it before the next Daredevil project goes into production.

At the start of the Netflix’s Marvel Shows they were cannon and part of the MCU, but when Mahershala Ali was cast as Blade and since he already played a character in Luke Cage, Kevin Feige said that the shows were not cannon. ***SPOILER ALERT*** But Charlie Cox’s Daredevil appeared in Spider-Man No Way Home so that could change.
Could be multiverse. Plus Mahershala being recast as blade doesn't change continuity. Sersi's actress was a side character in Captain Marvel.

Just for reference, the Hawkeye director and the actor for Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) both confirmed that they are playing their Netflix characters still. So at the least, we know Daredevil and Kingpin are canon.

It’s makes sense tho yes our heroes saved the city but you also need to be in the shoes if many civilians on the ground..those who died from a falling building hulk may have jumped on ..or thor knocking enemies into buildings..stray bullets hitting people possibly..it’s a life or death situation and so yes their will be man angry people as well this is why I love he mcu they go in detail the things that happen when the avengers fight

Even saying the names of ones they didn't have the license for would have mean payments to Disney. Around the second seasons, that's when things eased a little.

I like defenders more than avengers apparently. Just done with all the netflix marvel series. I even like the black suit, scarf wrapped head better on daredevil.
With Matt appearing in NWH and Kingpin in Hawkeye, and now Netflix removing all of the marvel Netflix shows on March 1st and putting them on either Disney plus or Hulu, we could be seeing all of them back really soon
I also rember watching spiderman ultimate I think it was, where spiderman teams with luke cage iron fist etc so seeing them in mcu is definitely something I'm down for.

I read from another comment that the snap for Matt must’ve been very scary. Since he can’t see anything, he could only hear the sound of people’s hearts go silent all of a sudden. He would be confused as to whether or not his senses have suddenly stopped, and generally just not knowing what’s going on. Seeing it from his point of view would be so crazy.

Dumb the Avengers were trying their best to move people (except Hulk) and the enemies caused most the damage and they are hated.
Grief isn't logic-friendly, and the Chitauri and Loki aren't around for her to focus her anger and grief toward. The Avengers, and by extension anyone with powers, are around. She's far past the point of being rational enough to care whether shooting Jessica will actually fix anything.
