Great story about your 1600, Now you see why I have 3 1550's and there big enough to do work and nimble enough to do small work and your comfortable doing both. Bandit
We own a 1600 and 1650, both are really good tractors. When you rebuilt the 1600, did you install the bigger sleeves and pistons? Ours ran alittle warm but boy can she get work done in the field with a few more ponies. Love them Ollies.
Well I got my 1/64 1600 diesel wide front finished. Started with a 1555 with the front axle like you have on the 1955. I changed the front axle to one like you have. Made model number decals to go on an 1800 set from Bossen. If you are interested in a couple pictures of it, check with Jake Ziegler. He has my e-mail address. I sent him a few Oliver pictures and took a few more this afternoon.
nice vids man, my uncle has quite a collection of old tractors, mostly two cylinders but we also have a super 77 gas. those 6 cylinders sure pur like a kitten
i be built quit a few of those cyl heads. Best thing to do to those heads is put SBC 3/8 exh valves in them int and exh make huge tourqe gains but uses same fuel amount
+Mike Mercer Something has been done to it besides just the big bore kit cause that thing has way more nuts than it has the right to. Hopefully gonna get it on the dyno this summer.
+Oliver66FarmBoy post the numbers I'd like to see them. I got tooo many hrs porting my gas head with big vavles to only gain 10 hp and lose 23 ftlbs. one more of those back to the drawing board
That was fun too watch! I would like to do a 1/64 1600 if I could find decals. Just finished swapping front axles on 1950T and 1555. Posted pictures on TTT.
so you guys run a lot of the early row crops, and you run a lot of the thousand series, but what's your opinion on the hundred series like the 770, 880?
Typical crop farmer "waiting on mother nature" to go outside and do work lol! We put the loader on the 4430 in January when it was beyond cold years ago. Cool videos, i love the back stories!
Now this and the other Oliver stories are awesome just to sit and listen to these relics go to work and have a happy family. lol
+66Oliver Thanks man

+sam meyer The three digits are good tractors. They arent a whole lot different from the supers and fleetlines. We just dont have one yet.
+Oliver66FarmBoy I've always liked the slanted look that generation had. But you don't see as many of them compared to the thousand series
cool story, do ya think you will put the picker on anything?
+C&J FARMS Mabey if I can find an 880 diesel. Have nowhere to it anymore though since I went to narrow rows.
+Oliver66FarmBoy ahh, so are you on 30 inch or 36 loo like 38 or 36 but i cant tell
oh i see, an 880 would be a cool tractor in it
